Well there's that... And that Viridi probably doesn't wish to kill Pit. She says they're not all buddy buddy but she is fond of him... Probably because Pit is just the world's sweetest dork,so as long as she can incapacitate him so he doesn't interfere with her plans it's probably enough for her. Dark Pit is kind of the same since he only ever tries to kill Pit in that one level where they fight which is before he realized that he is directly linked to Pit himself. Also.... It's probably not easy to kill the guy who jumped in after you to save you without any regard whatsoever for his wellbeing

Personally, I think at some point in the three years, viridi found him and basically stopped anything from, well, murdering him. I mean if not then well SOMETHING must have helped him cuz well where would he be? So I pretty much think that before the battle she explained it (at some point before he drove the lightning chariot into the vortex) maybe like, RIGHT after pit was revived (or he might have over heard)

Yes, Dark Pit was still in his own body while in the 3 year coma. The game never discussed where Dark Pit was while unconscious, so it’s pretty much up to interpretation. The Chaos Kin was already foreshadowed during the Lunar Sanctum chapter, it was only in due time it would begin to go apeshit after being freed. The entire arc was supposed to be a sudden change of events anyway, since it’s a 3 year time skip where Pit was unconscious the entire time. Also, it could be implied that the Chaos Kin used the Aurum invasion to its advantage to have an easier time possessing Palutena and getting rid of Pit since they were both likely worn out from dealing with an alien invasion, which explains why it all happened right after the Aurum arc.

Simon Miller 3 years ago after the Aruem Invasion, Pit was turned into a ring by the Chaos Kin who was possessing Lady Palutena in order to steal and eat her soul. And because Dark Pit is a literal mirror clone of Pit, if something happens to Pit it will affect Dark Pit. If Pit dies, Dark Pit Dies. If Pit falls unconscious, so does Dark Pit.

Paper Luigi Yes, because Dark Pit was made using the Mirror of Truth he is a dark reflection of Pit and his soul, but because he was made using the Mirror of Truth by any chance if Pit dies it would literally reflect onto Dark Pit and he would die too. So if Dark Pit wants to stay alive he can't kill Pit (like he's tried twice before during Chapter 6 and 13) and depending on how dangerous the situation Pit is in he may have to step in (Chapter 21) or save Pit when he's on the verge of death (Chapter 22).

Not really. Dark Pit was made with Pit, but Pandora and Pit didn't make Dark Pit. The Mirror made Dark Pit. So Dark Pit's mom and dad is a single mirror.
