Just watched A Career At Sea where it made mention of the RMS Uganda which was a hospital ship during the Falklands Conflict. Norland was requisitioned as a troop carrier and sailed into Falklands Sound for which the ship was given battle honours. The opening talking of developing roll on roll off ferries from Hull was true insofar as from Hull but roll on roll off ferries were the idea of The Atlantic Steam Navigation Company.
