❤Upgrade everyone!❤ Hi! It's been really... really long, i know. At the time i had planned on the next animation, the song was picked, the script was writen, i was very excited as it would drop a big lore piece on one of the main characters of this story and i couldn't wait for everyones reaction and theories. But then stuff happened, depression kicked me really hard, ive been isolating myself and struggling to get a grip and draw like i used to. The story behind this animation keept developing in my head, but i grew desmotivated to animate again and share it with others. Still today i'm struggling big time, but coming back and remembering how all the efford i put on this video was so worth it gives me a little sparkle of motivation. I won't make a promise, but when i'm done with my last commission, i will fetch the old animation script and try to make something out of it. Ngl, in all honesty i'm scared to even try, it's been so long that i'm scared i wont be able to animate or produce smth that lives up to everyones expectations (including my own), But i'm still willing to try even if it leads to failure or disapointment on my part. Meanwhile, if anyone curious reached the end of this and wants to know about the lore/story of "our lost paradise", ask me any questions or theories you have! I'll gladly answer 💙

don’t worry!! it’s fine you didn’t make the next ones, this one is awesome, you shouldn’t feel bad :( I’ve tried animating before (my awful attempt is on my channel lol) and it’s insanely hard, I have so much respect for this animatic. It’s one of my favourites of all time, it’s just so beautiful! ❤ I hope that your mental health improves!,

for everyone wondering where the original artist is, unfortunately there have been no uploads from this artist in over two years, and all of their social media is either deactivated or inactive. the latest post i could find from them was a post from june 6th, 2019 on their personal(?) facebook account. other than that, they've seemingly dropped off the face of the earth.

Meh- I wouldn't say ddlc, really; the concepts are much too different. Plus, the artist's storyline would be their own of course and not something simply to compare to if it- for say- was a visual novel. Though I'd say if anything, it would be more resembled to the horror/mystery visual novel and anime series (which is being remade in a new season, super excited as a long time fan) "Higurashi, When They Cry" than something like "Doki Doki Literature Club" which is more digital vs real life based. But even then, they're well too different past the very lowkey and reached for word of resemblance. I'd say the creator has a personal and creative idea going for them otherwise. And I'd love to see the storyline with such amazing art be put into something like a visual novel as mentioned! uwu ♡

I have an idea of the story. From what Axt-Chan said the story is that Alex with his childhood friend Ky are attempting to start a new life and run into someone they never thought they’d meet again. Also Alex has a bad past and can see and communicate with ghosts. In this video there are many parts where the ghost part makes sense, such as 0:07. But at first glance the bad past and person they’d never thought they’d see again doesn’t come up in the video. The first connection to what Axt-Chan has said about the past appears here at 0:34. Now we can see that the second picture has changed from a picture of Alta to a picture of presumably someone named Rachel. The text says “Are you scared to die Rachel?” And the other pictures text is cut off but the part we can read says wanted. As in this is what you wanted. It’s unclear what the image is but it is likely related too the bad past Axt-Chan speaks off. Lastly the this picture appears and says “Nothing is worth the wrong you did.” Now this may be a bit of the stretch but I think the person in the mask hear is Rachel. There is a difference in hair color and, later when presumably the same figure pops up hairstyle, but they seem similar too me. Regardless I think Rachel may have died in the arson that scarred Alex’s hands, however somehow he didn’t realize it and the ghost is back fro revenge or something of the sort. Now I could still be wrong but the masked person seems to be looking at this photo of Alex’s friend group when he was younger. You can see Alex in the middle and Ky doing the peace sign. This happens at 0:49 where we see them looking back at the photo. They have the same hair color, style, and mask as the person in the third picture from earlier. Now I know it’s a stretch to believe that that person wearing the mask and the person in the photo are both Rachel as they look different, so I also think that the person at 0:58 could be Rachel as well as they seem to have similar hair style. As for the difference in hair color you can chalk that up too the fact that it is night. I am probably completely off but I hope you enjoyed reading my theory on what the story of ‘our lost paradise’ will be.

I’m just goons out tons of details I noticed here that don’t relate to my theory necessarily, or I just missed. At 0:01 we can see a figure holding a gun pointing at another figure. To me I think it’s the girl in the mask and Alex. I then turns upside down. At 0:08 it looks like the masked girls hair style to me, who is speaking to Alex. However it could also be something relating to the toxic home life. Just afterward at 0:08 we see someone holding a match. And at 0:09 presumably Alex wrapping bandages around his scarred hands. This may mean that he causes the fire or something like that. Then at 0:10 we see three people holding flowers, the first being Aiko. The second being maybe Juno or someone else that we don’t yet know. Then lastly I believe we see Ky as despite the difference in hair styles, he looks like the person I believe is Ky in this image at 0:047. Speaking of this photo the girl on the bottom right looks like the girl at 0:10, however Aiko is not there and I believe the other person there is Rachel. However I believe all of these shots have something in common as they are all people from Alex’s past. Then at 0:11 we see Alex with red eyes, a panicked or worried face, and strangely a cactus in his head? Soon after it cuts too him wearing a mask just like Avalon. My guess is this relates to how he can see ghosts but I could be completely off. 0:15 is a very important shot as we see Alex with blood on his mouth and face, with red eyes, as well as the two people next too him looking at him. Then we cut too him looking at the camera whilst holding his face, Britt lastly at 0:15 him covering his face and crying whilst looking up. Before cutting to him normally raising his hand. My theory is that the shot we see at 0:08 is Alex holding the match, and do yo being pushed by toxic parents or whatever problems he faced, he started a fire. He then felt as though people started seeing him as a monster or something like that, and that’s why he has a bloody face. As he feels there is blood on his hands. I’m likely completely off but just a theory. At 0:19 we see a bunch of figures wearing black and red as well as masks similar to Avalon and the one Alex had on at the shot off the people with flowers. We see four figures and it can be presumed that they may be ghosts or apparitions. At 0:26 the lights dim and we see eyes. At first it seems like just another connection to Alex being able to see ghosts until you realize almost all of the masks Avalon and others are shown wearing have eyes as well. At 0:29 after the apple is bitten into it cuts to the core being covered in blood and on the floor, before cutting too a shiloute ( spelled that wrong ) with a bloody mouth. Not sure what this means but thought it my be something of note. Skipping ahead to 0:50 we see someone, who may also be the boy in the picture at 0:47. Regardless it cuts too a screen of a computer that says fatal error, unexpected mistake, better luck next time. As well as inside if the computer screen, pop up thingy, is the bit but with blood on his head. This leads me to believe he will die at some point. That’s all I found. @@raindrop5082 ill help out a bit by revealing smth 👀 The girl with the mask, the long BROWN haired one and the one with the glasses/ brown hair are 3 separated people. There are some scenes the colors may appear diferent from what they are supposed to be, but that's just me playing around with the color palettes for diferent scenes, so just put that aside. Mask girl is called Avalon, brown hair girl is called Rachel and guy with glasses is called Aiko.

I think it's time for me to reveal a bit about the story behind this animation. 'Our lost paradise' tells the story of a boy named Alex, who has the ability of seying and comunicating with lost spirits who wander the earth. Growing up on a toxic family and misfortunate events such as the arson that marked him for life, Alex finds his way out into a fresh start with the help of Ky, his childhood best friend. But due to a long forgotten mistake, his fate was soon changed by someone he never expected to meet again after so many years. Thats all i can tell for now! I don't want to expose too much of the story, i still want to make more art and animations that will slowly reveal and tell more about the plot and allow people to make theories if they feel interested. Im also still working on loving my ocs and losing my fear of sharing the stories behind them, so please bare with me, and thank you for all the love!

also, i never expected this to blow up after 2 months and i know i may sound crazzy but, i actually take hours to scroll through every single comment and make sure i read everything and like it too. and its so worth it, everyone is so nice and loving and all the nice coments are so heartwarming, knowing that people thing im underated, saying how the animation is smooth and looks like an anime or a professional did it, the compliments about the shading and all, it all just really makes my day and makes me feel proud of something i totally totaly hated and broke down to many times while making cause of how bad i tought it looked... seriously u guys make me feel loved and want to keep going 🥺❤

I feel like this is the absolute most perfect version of what this meme should be. The art is beautiful, first of all, and there's clearly a strong but unknown story. The animation is mostly bright and cheery, but there's moments where it just goes totally dark and/or twisted. And I feel like that fits so perfectly with the song. Also, 0:07 , that scared the ever living shit out of me holy crap

You know, this is one of those things you wish people don’t notice so that it’ll be a little hidden gem, but also want people to notice as it is amazing. Either way, I hope people notice this so that the creator can get the attention they deserve. It would really help them create more animations like this and improve.

I normally don't expect this level of detail in art or style to be too animated (because 1. that's hard as hell and 2. that takes long as hell) but you blew it out of the water!!!
