I can’t help but imagine the deku tree just watching Link drop down from orbit, starting a fire on the pedestal and sleeping the whole day before grabbing the sword out of the ground as he wakes up before he just becomes blue particles and teleports away.

Glitch hunting intentionally, probably. A lot of glitch hunters in games have a basic understanding of how and why glitches happen, to do with things like flags, load ins, invisible barriers, physics engines, etc. and will intentionally play around with mechanics like these to see if they can get an unintended result. :)

The path for Lost Woods in Breath of the Wild is also the same as the OG game... North followed by West, then South, and then West again :P

The game spawns the object of the master sword but th trigger of pulling the sword is added to it. So picking it up as it spawns, the trigger isn't there to start the scene. It's possible because of all the trees and objects that is being rendered in front of the deku tree and the trigger being ADDED not a part of spawning the object of the sword.

So basically because Nintendo made it a low priority to load the script for "pull the sword" there's more than one glitch to "Grab" the sword lmao. Am I picking that up correctlyt?

@@Wildlink123 I'm not sure but I think that the master sword is loaded like any other object/weapon and conditions like the cutscene are added after it has been spawned. Like any other weapon can exist in your inventory, be held, be thrown, exist in the game world all when it is loaded. I think the same attributes apply to the master sword, its just that the special things are added in a step beyond the spawning of the object. And the object density in korok forest infront of the deku tree specifically allows for that momentary situation where the discord will have loaded but not its special properties. And the fact that you can set a fire and "manually" force a reloading of assets whilst your character is close enough to be fast enough to interact with it in time.

If you do the campfire glitch, if you want to do the dlc trials you have to have 13 hearts, not to mention the master sword takes up a regular weapon slot instead of the extra one reserved to it. It's completely absent in the cutscenes so it's really funny watching Link pantomime raising it up and swinging it around.

When you eventually get 13 hearts, you return to the pedestal and pull out an invisible master sword. You get another weapon slot when you do it. From there it's normal. If you try to get it before that you'll do the trying to pull it out and dying animation to an invisible sword.

I kinda cheesed it when I got the sword, but all I did was go to that statue in Hateno village, turned all my stamina veins into heart containers, did a few shrines, got 13 hearts, got the master sword, than turned the hearts back into snanima veins.

The master sword trick is useful but here's something about it that people don't say: 1)When doing the master sword trick you need to make sure that you have an open sword slot because for some reason you don't get an extra slot for the master sword. 2)When pulling the master sword trick, you still have the option to pull the sword out, although it seems pointless since you've got the sword, it would give you that extra slot for the master sword.

By doing the last glitch shown in the video you will obtain the master sword play still need to pull it out, but since you've already obtained the master sword it just turns invisible

The sad part about this is, if people do this glitch, they won’t have the epic moment. Sure they will get the master sword but they won’t have the bad ass moment in the end after you get it a.k.a. the satisfying moment in breath of the wild

Bro what, and I had to do memory storage, the flag transfer, and the MA shrine(the one in Hateno) trick in order to displace my save file spawn and get it before the game loaded all the asset correctly

You don't even have to follow the torch Sparks, the fairy lights will lead in the right direction as well

Keep in mind that that campfire glitch does NOT give you an additional weapon slot like it normally is supposed to, if you’re full up you’ll fail to put it in your inventory and you’ll have to try again. You’ll get the slot you’re supposed to have when you pull it like normal.

However if you pick up the Master Sword like this, if you have the DLC, you’ll still need 13 hearts to upgrade it also you don’t get an extra melee weapon space

You can also follow the particles in the air, that's how I did it so I didn't have to leave behind one of my precious weapons

It’s cool that someone figured those glitches out, but personally it would just feel wrong if I didn’t get it the intended way. Less satisfying/rewarding and all. I guess if you’ve played this game a ton then it’d be a good route to take.

also, if you lead a yiga blademaster all the way there, he'll nab the master sword, and you can kill him afterwards to get it without 13 hearts

I did the campfire glitch and when I had 13 hearts I went to officially pull the sword, and it’s so funny cus he’s just staring at nothing in his hand. He’s just moving his arm and hold up absolutely nothin

Go in. Make a camp fire next to the master sword. (As close to it as you can.) Sit at the camp fire right next to the master sword. (As close as you can.) While looking straight up. Then rest and mash A.

and yes you can go to the trials of the sword its just go to the pedestal and stand on it a certain way then press "place" when you see it but its gonna be really hard to go into the trials with 3 hearts

You need to be moving very very fast using bow lock sliding to bypass the void-out triggers.

The glitch to get the master sword before the fire and bliss was discovered was a really annoying glitch you had to repeat to get free hearts and stamina. The game changes so much😂
