For the tank Do a 90% water change but match the levels exactly Sand vacume the substrate Blow all the rocks with a turkey baster to remove detritus before the water change Dip all corals that aren't doing very well in revive coral dip Turn lights off for 3 days Lower the temp just a little bit Good luck :)

you should upgrade to a 60 gallon tank or so. nano tanks like yours require more frequent water changes. moreover, the slightest changes in water parameters will adversely affect your tank. don't give up. we all go through the ups and downs of having a saltwater setup.

Gatsby is so cute! I just wanted to share with all the corgi fans and corgi parents: There's an event called SoCal Corgi Beach Day held a few times a year in Huntington Beach, CA... there will be waves and waves of irresistible corgi cuteness! If you get a chance, you should bring Gatsby ^_^

Ryen is in norcal so I don't think he'd be able to go to the one in huntington beach. There's probably one somewhere around sf though! Corgis have been such hype for a while now.

Woohoo 2 years congratulations, I love watching your vlogs.. Ps ice is completely fine im a veterinary technician I also asked the drs I work for because Facebook was going crazy. Obviously you wouldn't want to give a dog that's having a heat stroke ice cold water because the body will go into shock began having muscle spasms. Its the same for people you can't change temps that quickly.. But giving ice treats or cold water every once in a while is completely fine....

Oh yeah, and don't add Gfo!! You have to have a reactor to use it properly and it can make a mess! I would however add phosGuard! It keeps my phosphates undetectable and my water perfectly clear. It will also let you know when to change it out because it will turn brown and it doesn't require a reactor. Just put it in your filtration. I would stop buying what your fish store says will help you because if it's not working good, they could just be trying to make money. Get red slime remover for the algae. I use it and it works in 3 days .

By the way, any tips for staying fit in college? Going away for college in a few months and I'm hoping to get into and stay in shape while I'm in school. With the hectic schedule and budget, it seems like an overwhelming task.

Yeah, it's hard. It's something you have to make an effort to keep up. Best tip is to find some people to go with you :) If not, find something that'll motivate you to go!

Don't buy a sea hate yet!!! If I were you, I would get your own rodi unit. If I had to guess I would say your problem is the water you buy from the fish store. It's never safe to trust fish store rodi water because you never know how often they change the filters. If I were you, I would get a tds meter ( a good but cheap one can be found at buckeye field supply) and test there rodi water your self. I wouldn't except anything above 0 . All of the problems you having could be related to poor water quality. If you by your own unit, you'll eventually save money in the Lon run and it might save you a lot of headaches!

Ryen! I just got my corgi Odin today. He pees fine on the Puppy Apartment pee pad but he doesn't want to poo! When I let him out to play for a short bit on the carpet, that's when he wants to poo...so I pick him up and bring him back to his apartment but he won't poo and just goes back to his bed. Tips? oh and congrats on 2 years....

So as a fellow corgi puppy owner (mine's four months now) I gotta say corgis are stubborn but also very smart and (in my experience so far) easy to train. My advice for you would to not let him out of his area until he poops. He will eventually because he can't really control it yet. So every time he goes in the potty area, praise heavily and treat him. He'll pick it up pretty quickly and seeing as how this is his first day at your home it's natural for him to have accidents for several weeks probably. So patience and lots of praise when done correctly just like any other dog. :)

I agree with Stephanie Cochran. It may not happen immediately, but just be consistent. What I did was immediately when I notice him sniffing around, I'd place the dog in the apartment. (You'll also learn the signs that he needs to go.) The first few weeks require constant attention (the apartment can help when you're not able to watch).
