Four months after the invasion began, Hanna and her two daughters fled to Fukuyama City, where they had stayed before, with the help of a friend. Hanna and her family's quiet life was shattered two years ago. At the time, it was unimaginable that her peaceful day-to-day routine would ever be destroyed. I hope that the people of Japan will always live in safety. That they never have to suffer the same misfortune as we have. Peace should not be taken for granted: it is something to be protected through reflection and action. This is the message that Hanna and her family have for all of us.
