Welcome to Da lat Vietnam. Today we are exploring Da Lat market in the center of this beautiful city. We are buying and trying local produce from Da Lat and meeting amazingly honest and kind market vendors. We even ran into a beautiful auntie who sold us some mangoes for a great price, so we decided to give her a reward for her honesty. Enjoy the video everyone.

I spend my youth here in high school , lot of memories, Da Lat always in my heart . Now I’m in my 70 and living in Melbourne, almost 50 years since i left Da lat in 1973/74 . Thanks for the video .

The fruit seller who tricked you before was fined by the online community and the police and was not allowed to trade..For the crime of defrauding and robbing tourists, the penalty will be very severe, but you can rest assured that the fruit seller has already received a light penalty, so there is no problem. Because this crime will affect our country, Vietnam, the government strongly propagandizes traders a lot .if is this happens, just call the people around you. Vietnamese people are very united and help those around you and are friendly. Even the police will help.And it's important to hold your phone and camera firmly in your hand. Put the money in your pocket carefully, most of the people in the south still have some thieves. Be careful and have a nice trip.❤❤❤

The flower you bought is "hoa bất tử" eternal flower...real flower but they can last for years. The north call "bánh rán" (fried cake), in the south they call it "bánh cam" (orange cake) ..and fried in the south is "chiên" ..."rán" just being adopted and used in the south when KFC entered Vietnam market, probably the person who bought the franchise or did the paper work for KFC was from the north. Therefore some but not all southerners will understand "rán",

giỏ hoa mà bạn mua được gọi là hoa bất tử, bạn mà nhúng nó vào nước nó sẽ thu lại thành những cái nụ nhỏ, đến khi nó khô nó sẽ lại nở ra như luc ban đầu. tôi cũng rất thích loài hoa này. ở Đà Lạt có ngôi chùa Ve Chai, trong chùa có 1 tượng Phật được kết từ hoa này.

I would have been so tempted to buy all of the tea and.coffee from that one vendor and then sat down with a giant cup and eat the pastries. Everything looked great though. Fun fact - Da Lat, some years back, people never needed air cond, nowadays, it is so hot some days, aircond business is thriving in Da Lat. Over use of land, deforestation and climate change are the contributors. Thanks for the lovely sharing of your experience in Da Lat and supporting the locals. Karma does work. Such a lovely couple ! You really did your homework on what to buy when in Dalat! I'm glad you enjoyed the fruits and the flowers and the bees, and most of all thank you for rewarding that honest lady. I'm sure you enjoyed the dried mango you got, because it's one of the hottest dried fruit among Vietnamese in recent years (should have tried the spicy version as well, it's not too spicy at all). The best selling dried fruit in Vietnam for decades I think would be dried jackfruit, I'd recommend buying it in any supermarket, Vinamit brand (you can try a bunch of different dried fruits of this brand, it's a good bet judging from Korean tourists' obsession). Now that you guys are in Saigon, please try a lot of tropical fruits! Star-apple (Vietnam is the only country that export this fruit), jackfruit, mangosteen, custard-apple, etc.

Glad you love Dalat....I was worried you might just go to market,then leave Dalat,as a lot of people don't stay long. I was wrong! You two are wondering around next video....and it's amazing,! Sellers are not charging you more than locals unless you're in touristy places. I see so many foreigners have unreal expectations on price and always think they are being scammed. In VN, services, produce, accommodations and street/restaurant food are very cheap. Seafood, electronics, and luxury items are generally as or more expensive than other parts of the world. VN produce a lot of Seafood, but many are exported and the domestic demand for Seafood is high.

This. It's ridiculous some of the videos made about sellers there. Even if you feel as if you're ripped off, I bet you'd have no problems throwing down 5-10x the amount back in your home country for something of equal or less value without blinking an eye (for example the daily Starbucks coffee). The Vietnamese people work very hard to earn the few pennies they get. The money they make daily directly affects whether their families eat good or not. And regarding prices in touristy places, this happens in Western countries, too. So why go off on the ones in Asia if you've no problems paying more when you go to Disney World (the prices for food and drinks there are beyond ridiculous...and this after you're charged exhorbitant parking and entry tickets!), music or other festival, stadium to watch sports, or some vacation spot in Europe?

For Vietnamese coffee, you should use an aluminum coffee filter to make it more delicious. Our coffee cannot be brewed with a machine because it is seasoned with butter, so using a machine can easily clog. filter

This is the capital of Vietnamese coffee, there are also very wild natural landscapes and people are also gentle and kind. Many flowers were imported here by the French such as Rose , Sword-Lily ( Glaieul in French ) , Dahlia , Hydrangea ( Hortensia in French , Hoa Mâm Xoi in Vietnamese ) , Pansy ( Pensée in French , Hoa Mat Meo in Vietnamese ) , Antirrhinum ( Gueule-de Loup in French , Hoa Mom Soi in Vietnamese ) , Carnation ( Oeillet in French , Hoa Câm Chuong in Vietnamese ) , Lily ( Lys or Lis in Fr. , Hoa Ly in Vn ),etc... Over 25 years ago two Dutchmen successfully cultivated Tulips in Dalat ( Haggsfarm ) and now are selling this flower all over VN and in some other SEA countries .
