Take a break from the world, from society, from social media, from everything external
It's time to reflect on your life, your goals, your relationships and many other things.
Embrace loneliness and stop rejecting it, it's exactly what you need in your life the most !
In order to be present and have moments of peace and tranquility, you have to get into a clear state of mind, a state in which thoughts remain thoughts and you are one with the things around you.
I included nature sounds and a slow melody so I can create the environment for you to get into that state of deep contemplation.

New to the country. Winter is harsh. Family is away. Thought i will weather the storm. Trying to support my family in all ways but the silence inside me is growing. Have felt this emptyness before but i came out with gods grace. Now i feel the same, feel homesick, cant go back so soon. I imagine myself standing infront of this vast and terrifying ocean ready to engulf anything that stand in its way. They say face the emptyness, and you will be stronger. Sure you does become strong but the price you pay to become strong is way too much. I thought i crossed a mountain, but now realizing that it was just a wave. The wave infront of me is even more formidable. Trying to stand firm.

Do not compare your self with others, embrace who you are as a man, stop envying others , try to be a better person, improve on the things you can improve such as your body and mind as well as your fighting skills. A king doesnt seek war but prepares for the war, never underestimate your enemies. In my humble opinion I feel like people who don't understand the idea of being alone or loneliness call it isolation when in fact it isn't. in some cases its what I would refer to as just surviving. A big part of isolation is not interacting with the world around u at all. Finding ways to avoid people at all costs. Loneliness can be enjoyable its sort of like adapting to ur environment even if it means having no social life that isn't total isolation. U still might see people and interact with others everyday and still feel lonely. If u find a way to embrace it most days it isn't so bad. Hope that is helpful to someone.

Sasaki Kojiro is such a badass. Wish we coulda seen their legendary duel in Vagabond but I realized something after reading the epilogue. That's what everyone wanted to hear about but that's not what the story was about. The story was about "The Light" as Inoue said in his final letter regarding Vagabond. Needles pierce this light and those bits are darkness, the desire to see/do battle, bloodshed, violence. These things make the Light harder to grasp, to truly appreciate. Musashi, even in his old age, was still holding on, even slightly, to the idea of battle, of strengthening one's self, he still thought that combat was the only way to grow as a person. Spoiler for anyone who hasn't read the Epilogue: Yet, as Mushashi's health dwindles and he asks the same questions to a new student that Takuan asked him, Musashi goes on a spiritual journey. He sees the people he's killed sure but they're placid, they are almost... welcoming. In fact, the only person that's really haunting him is the Old Men but even they are just reminding him what they told him. Even Jotaro appears, clearly killed in some sort of combat as Musashi regrets teaching him the sword, but Jotaro isn't vengeful, he's trying to help the aged Musashi. He reveals to him that even more than the amount of people he's cut down, he's actually "shown the way" to far, far more than he could ever realize. Then, the last person Musashi sees as he journeys into Nirvana is Sasaki Kojiro, the man he was destined to defeat, the one that gave him the title of "Unrivaled Under Heaven." Kojiro hasn't forgotten their friendship, in a couple images we can see that Kojiro still sees Musashi as the guy who he pinched the cheeks of and, despite their history, they journey into the Afterlife together and Musashi has no regrets. Yet, there is something that Musashi learns at the very end of his life, at the very last moment before passing on... To be kind, to discard that darkness and embrace that light, to be warm, that is what it means to be strong but you don't know it until you are strong yourself. You don't know that you're truly strong until you have seen that Light and have discarded the Darkness but, just like Musashi's masters and the man himself, you won't know until you're very, very old and even then, we must accept it. We must accept what it means to truly be strong. I could write forever about the impact Vagabond has had on my life, it has changed my world view in such a paradigm shifting way that I don't remember the way I thought before Vagabond and Musashi became a sort of friend to me, one that I could always turn to and will always answer. It's why the Epilogue hit so hard for me because, despite the actual story's end, I was finally given a chance to say farewell to an old friend, one that I shared a journey with and one that has changed my life fundamentally and wholly for the better. So while I'll like other pieces of fiction, nothing will ever compare to Vagabond and the visceral effect that it has had on me, so thank you Takehiko Inoue, thank you to all of the translators and scanners that made it possible to read, but most importantly, thank you Shinmen Takezō for being such a inspiration and guiding light. I can only hope to be a fraction of the man you were.

Sometimes it is difficult to even have the courage the live - i feel empty & lost today as if nothing will make me happy - but it is only a feeling . Next i know i will be happy , then sad again , then happy again . I have had enough of this roller coster - im going to dedicate my life to others and help them feel good about themselves - im waking up at 5:30 to train and meditate then make some money to give to my family and feed stray dogs - my life is perfect it is only my feelings and emotions and ego that betray my true nature - i just want to help and want nothing for myself - i never want anyone to feel like ive felt today. God bless you all i love you all it will be fine .

Embrace loneliness. Be a loner, have holy curiosity. Explore the universe. You don't need anyone, and you certainly do not need external love. Perhaps this is a message stemmed from the psychological inner defense of past failures regarding relationships, but I'll say this: even if that is the case, do good and be good. Even if in the end you gave all your heart and you're still alone, take pride in being the best person you can be. To be lonely is not the issue, but to be alone and not have inner peace. That must be rectified.

I tent to be a loner. It’s not because I don’t like being around people. I just tend to try and focus on the entire “event”, group, ect. It shifts my mind from telescope at the stars to microscope at the details of beautiful thread cloth. It pushes my minds computer looking at the details of my surrounding humans I can see and know without even knowing them and makes no difference if we all treated each other how we ourselves wanted to be treated.
