The new 3D printer fails to print and sometimes fails to calibrate.
In the Klipper LOG is:
"MCU MKS_THR shutdown: timer too close"
"Internal error in stepcompress"
"OSError: [Errno 11] Resource temporaily unavailable"

After removing the plastic line of the supply cable and filament, the printer prints without an emergency failure, it was a good type thanks :O)

Unfortunately, this is a temporary solution. After a few hours of printing with the original cable, the problem returned. Only changing the cable helped 100%. Exchange for a stronger one with twisted pairs for greater resistance to interference. You can use practically any camera with the widest possible angle of view of 120-140°. In a short time I will give a video with the modifications of the printer. I am currently testing it and I am satisfied so far.

I just got my SK1 few days ago and I have the same problem. I was able to print the benchy. Since then, I always get "MCU MKS_THR shutdown: timer too close" interrupting my print. And sometimes even during a calibration step. I updated my SK1 to firmware 2.0, this fixed nothing. Sometimes the crash is so hard that I cannot communicate anymore with my SK1 (from the screen or fluid/moonraker website). I need to switch it on/off several times with the power button. Today it is stucked, I cannot make it work anymore. Really disappointed!

Still no support from the manufacturer after 24 days of reporting. Just general advice like firmware, cables... Nothing to help me. I dug deeper into the problem and there is more. Their firmware (new) uses over 2 year old versions of all software (linux, klipper, moonraker, fluiddd...) In their configuration file it is written about the STM32F407 processor (this type is used by the MKS SKIPR board from which the SK1 printer control board is obviously based and so is the software) Physically, there is an STM32F402 processor on the printer board. According to the STM manufacturer, this processor does not even exist !! Only found on Aliexpress and datasheet only in Chinese. After a long search, it should be similar to the STM32F401 processor, which has half the computing power and RAM memory size. The printer is very unfinished and absolutely not tuned. I decided to write an extensive review about all the problems, because there is a lot, especially when it comes to electronics and SW.

Right, it is based on the Makerbase SKIPR. This allowed me to ssh in the system (login: mks or root, pass: makerbase). I checked and tweaked the Klipper processes to fix my issue, but without any success. I observed that when my machine is still stucked after a reboot, by moving the extruder manually I was able to restore the communication between the printer and moonracker. I thought that the culprit could be the x/y stepper motors but nothing wrong with them. Then 2Trees answered to my email saying that I should disassemble the extruder to check the light condition on the extrusion head adapter plate. Nothing was wrong with that.....BUT to disassemble it, I removed the plastic cable chain. I tested a print with the extruder like that and it worked!! I think there was too much tension in the cable linking the main board to the board of the extruder. Yesterday I was able to do a 3h print. You can see how I have the cable on my twitter post here twitter.com/rnartist_app/status/1762825631522332809. I pursue my tests

@@FabriceJossinet Good point. I also already removed a piece of cable from the chain because it was strained and damaged at the end of the extruder. I'll also try it the way you have to take it all out and let you know :-)

I have to confirm that pulling the cable and bowden out of the chain helped a lot. I printed several long prints but today it collapsed again after a while to emergency stop. In the log you can see the loss of communication with MKS_THR and the increasing number of "Bytes_Retransmit", it is possible that the cable is already damaged..... among other things, the fans in the lower part are already very noisy...
