Great clip. Mongolian vodka is made from cow milk. Really good and very expensive here in Europe. Buy a bottle or two and bring it with you home. I recommend it. Amazing to see how much tarmac there is now. Took us several days to go from Tsetserleg to the lake in 2012. 😂 And when leaving the lake we managed to ride less than 50 km’s on that whole day….. 😂 Sand and mud and shite. We had to dig the back wheels of our bikes out several times in the sand…. We actually had a shovel with us on the bikes since we knew it would happen….. 😂🤣

Horn hitting tank bag a common issue for me as well. Really tempting fate Lavi saying that. Some great off roading skills now Ollie. Them potholes at speed would do for the front wheel rim as well. That's a nice way to spend a wet Sunday morning watching Lavi and Ollie thanks guys.

Im so glad you have recovered and god bless you and the lovely mongolian people. Their culture, the camels and horses are amazing. You need the old despatch riders wet and cold weather gear but its not light. I have a heavyweight aero leathers horsehide jacket. I imagine the horsehides are plentiful there as horxse is eaten there.i know the meat is a delicasy and eaten at weddings i think its in uzbekistan. Its been prepared for centuries there. If the hjorse meat is eaten there will be leather and in my opinion if horses are killed for meat its good to use all the animal but i couldnt kill a horse personally even for food unless i was starving and there was nothing else. I love horses and theyre very intelligent and how they think is really interesting and they can be spooked easily as their sense of survival and any threats means they protect themselves.. Mongolians are some of the most amazing cultures in the world for their horsemanship. Just like Gypsies, Arabs ancd cowboys with them. The Kashmiri horsemen were great too and the cobra gypsies in India in the desert in gujarat and Rajastan. Thevcobra gypsies are amazing with animals and snakes and like some tribal people round the world great with dancing too. For me its a true highlight of travel seeing these old cultures that sadly are often threatened with modern life like the aborigines. I wish you had more time in Mongolia. You certainly are becoming hard core with the wet and cold conditions. I look forward to your episodes so much and am really loving your great adventures and experiences and its so exciting on the road learning so much.

Yes would be amazing to have some wet and cold weather gear just for this part 🤪 But not very practical for travelling! Yes all these horses we have seen are livestock, but yes, very beautiful animals 😍 we're glad to hear you are enjoying seeing Mongolian culture through our rides, we are loving this country too!

Ah yes, the amount of times I've set off my horn on my tank bag! 🤣 That monastery is pretty cool. Wow! What an amazing history Karakorum has! Those square potholes looked really dangerous! That's insane that they just leave them! Seems like vodka is popular there! 🤣 That is cool how easy the panniers come off! I like them! I am loving what I've seen of your Mongolia videos so far. I'm going to have to visit!

16:02 I like those ger huts. They are so efficient and to the point which is to protect you from the elements and to have a shelter. That's all you need. Btw, I tried to look up the price for the pineapple juice. Is it only 700 Mongolian Tugrik? If so, according to the internet it's just 20 american cents. Can't be that cheap. (ok my bad, you said 8500 Tugrik next, which is roughly $2.46 for both items. That's cheap! Good to see you've recovered!

I had a social studies teacher that was all for increasing Canadian immigration. There is so much land in the north that is unpopulated, he thought it would be a good place for new arrivals. Most people in Canada live near the 49th parallel, although there is a city further north that has a lot of petroleum industry. Mongolia is mostly ± the 46th parallel.

If you enjoy cheese try the yak cheese. Its really tasty, nutty and a hard cheese that keeps well. In Nepal, india and anywhere there are yaks it should be made.

It's youtube (check the youtube sub-redit to see what's going on) creators have no longer control over the length of the ads. But like they said, if ads aren't shown, they're not getting support, and if no support, then basically they're producing content for free, at their own expense. And the majority of yotubers aren't Discovery Channel or National Geographic, or any of those ultra million sub count channels with the megabucks. Blame youtube because they're ruining the experience for everyone.
