A tip that i use is to play the mission with 2 suppressed sniper rifles. What I do is have a main rifle that I upgrade. I also upgrade to suppressed rifle ammo in the loadout. My second rifle is going to be an upgraded K98. The way to do this is to get one off a bad guy since the k98 is the most available German rifle you can find. In the game, swap out your main rifle with a K98 when you find one and then remember where you leave your main one. Then use your K98 and find a bunch of suppressed rifle ammo for it. Now you have 2 suppressed rifles to swap back and forth with. As far as upgrading, in Mission 1 the very first sniper tower has a K98 you can switch too. So start with another main rifle, run up to the tower, switch to K98, snipe from their for the truck explosion kills and distance kills (mentioned in other upgrade videos) I imagine this strategy was would also work with pistols with suppressed ammo if you don’t like using the Welrod or HDM. Also, this may work with finding a German semi auto rifle (for shorter range gunfighting; higher magazine cap and rate of fire) and have another bolt action with longer range and damage.

I was staggered when you said you have played the entire game 3 times through in a week (!) ~ I have had the game for a year and still have not finished it, but I do have all the DLC (Deathstorm etc), which I managed to buy from Steam at a HUGE discount, plus I also got the base game on a discount. I am not at all a good player (63 years old with arthritic hands, so use an X-box for PC controller), but enjoy being useless in my own way :) All the best, from Ireland.

How to get upgrades for weapons: Choose the level that best suites the requirements of the weapon, then start the level and as soon as the cutscene ends at the beginning of the level create a save file. Play through the level while trying to get as many kills meeting the requirements as you can. Once you have killed all enemies, or simply decide to finish the level early, reload the save file from the menu(this will make sure your loadout stays the same). Play through the level in this fashion as many times as you need to until you have met all requirements. If you want to upgrade other weapons, create a new save file with a different loadout. Using this method I was able to fully upgrade most weapons in a matter of hours, hope its useful.

Just started playing this game on Gamepass. It is awesome! At first I was just shooting every Nazi I saw. But then I realized why they kept swarming me. I wasn’t taking into account all the noise I was making noise. Stupid of me. Lol. So now I play stealth and only kill who needs to be killed. It’s going much better now.

You start out with a 2x to 6x optic zoom on the Springfield. The Welrod was also one of the very first suppressed pistols manufactured too I believe. Pretty nifty gun they made less than 3000 of them specifically for the British but American O.O.S. personal used them too. A historically accurate neato pieceo :) would love to find a working replica or kit for one.

When you say 'two rounds down range', your ammo counter is suggesting that you're only firing one round. The currency cap is dumb, and I'm glad I know about it before I hit the cap.

In order to upgrade a given gun, to you need to accomplish the stipulated update tasks while using that specific gun, or do all accomplishments (e.g., ricochet kills, penetrative kills, etc.) achieved with any gun carry over and get applied where relevant?

Tokarev is the best for me in terms of pistol. For sub-mg I prefer either For Rifles for long range missions I use Mosin-Nagant. For Semi Auto Rifle on close-in missions I use the ZH29. For Machine Guns my default is MP44 for open space missions because of its range and FNAB for close quarter missions because of its damage.

for smg u can swap to a gun with slower fire rate i see ur playing on pc. do u use controller or keyboard? i ask cause *maybe* you can rebind fire to a less sensitive key. i played 3 on ps4 and it took me a while to get the silver medals (bad shot lol) but with the trigger its technically easier to single fire

I wonder if this game will have some GOTY/Ultimate Edition. From what I've seen there's some pretty solid DLC content, but I don't want to pay the ridiculous cost it is now. Sniper Elite 3's GOTY edition is available for about $20. If this game came out with a GOTY edition with all downloadable content for about $30-$40, that would be ideal.

I also enjoyed the game but felt value for money compared to Sandboxed games such as Far Cry 4 to be inadequate.. Then offering extra levels at £6 a time is daylight robbery.

There were a lot of things wrong with what you were saying like when you were at the smg range you were firing once when you were trying to shoot once but you were saying that it was two rounds. And the zoom thing every sniper rifle in the game has a zoomable scope and I understand that the challenges can be hard I know I have every guns mastery skin for the 1911 for muzzle velocity you have to kill an enemy with a heart rate above 100 and it will give you one you don't have to do it 30 times and then it will say 1 no that's not right. Just thought I would let you know.

I stuck with the Springfield also as all the other rifles have low zoom. Rebellion needs to give us more options with better rifles that have power and high magnification. I didn't buy into the additional weapons pack as those weapons have less than the Springfield which does not make sense. Still love the game though.

what I don't understand is the weapon characteristics. It shows horizontal bars that are white and some continue and turn red or green. I don't know why that is telling me to compare different weapons.

great video I understand were you are coming from I love sniper elite and have most gold skins but you are right that it doesn't tell you anything or help you out and thay could of done better with the game! ☺ P's try solo survival mode to unlock skins way easier!

The DLC for the HDM is 4$ and you get 2 other guns. The game is not first person. You were complaining about not being taught the shoulder aim mechanic but when you go into tutorials it is one of the options there. There is also a scroll bar in the shooting section

Yeah the pistol you're issued with, is one shot only. But if you like being stealthy, and don't want the whole army to hear you when killing someone, this is a perfect pistol! Just sad it is the only suppressed one besides the DLC one.

Yeah, SE4 is in a weird place. It's obviously not raw C team material, but there's something about it that keeps it from the A list. It's like...a high B+. The gameplay is fantastic, several unique/rare sniping mechanics all combined, but the skill..."tree"...is a terrible, terrible insult to the concepts of both skill trees in general and game balance in particular. Not to mention the upgrade system. A skin? Really? The last "upgrade" is a /skin/. Why the hell didn't they just give each weapon a unique master attribute, like "Loudest Rifle, Intimidates enemies into staying behind cover the longest per shot." or something like that. A SKIN though?

Just for the record this is a third person shooter game not a first person shooter. Call of Duty and Battlefield are first person. This, the division, Metal Gear Solid are all 3rd person.

personally I think the upgrade system in SE4 is it's biggest let-down. It's way too grindy. I appreciate that they wanted to create replayability but at the end of the day they made it about as grindy as any MMO but without the social interactions which make MMO grinds almost bareble. I wouldn't mind doing this for a family of weapons (rifle, MSG, assault, ...). SE3 was much better with simply unlocking stuff when you level up. Regarding the DLC, I agree that it is a poor choice to only deliver 60-70 of the game and making everything else DLCs. If you want the full game you need to buy the game + season pass which makes it expensive full price. Now years later it is not too bad when you wait for one of the promotions but back when it was released it was very pricey.

Sorry, but this video is not particularly helpful. By your own admission, you are negative on the $ spend for this game and add ons, you complain about limitations such as level depth (which is a nonsense - have you done these levels on Authentic Plus?). You complain about additional weapons skins. You have no clue as to what each weapon actually does. Welrod is NOT single shot, manual reload. You learn this after 2 minutes with the weapon. Nago and KAR98K are 2 best sniper rifles, with 16X zoom and No DLC required. 'In my memory, is not first zoomable when you get the weapon'. What a nonsense. And you completely missed how you can change the scope range so the shot marker goes more centre in the scope if you set the range closer to the target range. Gold shiny weapon attracts attention? No it doesn't. Unless you are playing Co-op / Multiplayer and you are chasing bragging rights. Then Yeah, folks will stare. You don't know how to do Mastery of the weapons?!?!
