idk if anyone explained this fully to you but: the story of this song is using the real story of a captive puma as a metaphor for idol life. in 2018 a puma named bbo-rong escaped from a zoo after an employee left her gate unlocked. she ran for her life for 4 hours before being shot and killed when that absolutely didn't need to happen and it was never her fault, just the cruelty of humans. the song is meant to describe how idols become captive and work for the entertainment of others under contract even if it's not what they want to be doing, and the industry can spit them out and leave them with nothing at any time if it wants. it's helplessness from the perspective of an animal that can't even understand what's happening, so it's blind terror and continuing to move forward at all costs. the puma isn't the predator, it's the prey of humans. the chains, cages and animalistic running are visuals from her pov. "west side east side it don't matter anymore" is describing how no matter which direction she runs she can't get away nor can she survive in the wild regardless. glad you're finding txt. seeing them in june, can't wait :)

I was going to suggest the same thing but honestly because Eternally is apart of their lore its best to watch their +U in order. I watched them backwards and Eternally was 10x better once understanding the connections.

I am not sure but I think a puma got loose and they shot it instead of catching it and a lot people where upset. the song is in the view of the puma.
