the mv is so bittersweet, at the scene when they're all in the bedroom and Yeonjun starts to dance, I smiled but at the same time it made me feel sad, like it wasn't real... this comeback is perfect

My understanding of this MV is that they're kids who just found out about the actual struggles with life. They start recognizing the pain that little things around them do (just like having an unstable, broken, arguing family shown at the background when Yeonjun was first seen playing video games in the living room). Now we only see Yeonjun's personal struggle but for the others, they're not specifically shown which basically suggests that we deal with our own demons all the time, but just because we only see ours, doesn't mean others don't suffer too. I say this because even though Yeonjun was the one who decided to run away, the others were all ready to be there for him. Now, the lyrics imply some dark things that they've been through, even considering death or ending their own lives perhaps with the line "I'm fine with dying" because they felt at some point that it could only be their only way out. But then as you can see at 2:19 and 2:23 there were 5 crystal fish/beta fish which represents each of them. If you didn't know, crystal fish were known to look beautiful but helpless, but little did everyone know, they're vicious and are able to survive from predators or extreme troubling waters. Which symbolized hope still being present in their hearts. They might be of different sizes, but still, they're there. Another thing, when they were trying to light their clothes on fire, it seems to me as if they're trying to get rid of the person that they have become. Who they were essentially. But that's just saying that all of their mistakes, and all of the pain that they have survived throughout the years will burn to ashes with it. Which doesn't make sense because that's not what being hopeful is about. And that's what I think why they failed to do it. The car being lit on fire instead to me means something like "yeah, we're not happy now, but that's not because we're innately bad. it's not because of us. but because of everything that drove us to where we are now" and there's no coming back to those bad days. we choose to live here now. In the present. Where everything may seem dark fr9m the start, but with love filling in the wholes within our hearts, we will be able to make it. IDRK what I'm saying lol but this is in fact one of best songs I have listened to for like the past year or so. Congratulations to MOA! Congratulations TXT! We're all very proud of y'all!

ok but I heard somewhere that when he says "girl I need you" (where yeonjun does that solo bit) it goes dark cause we supposed to look at our reflection. hence we(moas) are what txt need

They said it was yeonjun's parents fighting so he escape from the hospital and when he was dancing infront of members,he was actually just hallucinating that's why I'm the Mv teaser he's alone because he was ill

This song is so good, from the lyrics, beat, melody, esp the rawness in their vocals. If you search in the internet about betta fish, the most often searched question would be, "Do betta fish get lonely?" I think it relates to how Yeonjun feels so alone. Although betta fish never get lonely being alone because of their nature, we couldn't stop but think whether they get lonely or not.

While watching this, I was thinking that in the teaser Yeonjun danced the same dance alone in a dark room, and we were trying to figure out if he was dancing with a ghost. In the music video, he does the same dance in the bedroom with the other boys there watching him and the open door has bright light (white) seen behind it. What if Yeonjun is dreaming (day dreaming possibly) or hallucinating the other boys and is dancing “for them” when in reality, he’s simply dancing alone? And if so, what if the fish represent all these memories he had of them, and they are the ones that died (suicide or other) and left him on his own? In a way, he might feel like their disappearance from his life (and the world?) is his fault somehow. I also feel like a lot of the video is Yeonjun dealing with the sadness and pain that accompanies loss, but his own fight with (maybe) depression adds onto this constant feeling of being alone.

my theory with the fish could be off because im no fish expert...but it could allude to how yeonjun needs the boys (or how the boys need eachother)...since (once again i could be wrong) most fishes need companions and when fishes are alone or in kept in solitary they can begin to suffer from depression and become lethargic. theres the one scene of yeonjun sitting alone on the bedroom floor and theres only one fish floating in the air...but then cut to the pool scene you see a school of fishes together... idk like i said im no marine biologist

To add to what others have said about the guys being together is not reality--I think in YJ's head he burns the car because that is part of his family so he wants to destroy that link to them. And the Save Me vibe is unmistakable--but this is how TXT is relating to similar feelings. Just as we can relate to those feelings. The more I listen to & watch this, the more it makes me feel. Wow I cried so much when I first saw the MV and lyrics, and I cried again watching it with you :( But the song is so good, it hits you just in the feelings!!! And I think you're right, Yeonjun has to be alone in reality, because it seems that he decided to leave the house on the spur of the moment, but when he goes to the car they're already waiting for him. He's either remembering or imagining them to escape from reality, wich fits with the general theme of txt's story.

I’m thinking that maybe yeonjun is either dreaming all this obviously or maybe he’s imagining/thinking back to when they were all friends and spent time together and wishing he wasn’t alone. Because it’s picking up from cysm when they all fought so maybe they’re still having issues with the friendship? Idk though. I definitely think it’s interesting how it says “I know I love you” and “I know it’s real I can feel it” because usually saying “I know” in this context means you’re trying to prove yourself to someone or something so maybe it’s supposed to be them trying to validate their emotions to themselves? So even if they’re going through issues and conflicting emotions they want to keep the friendship alive along with the love they have for each other. Idk though these are just my thoughts sksjkss
