Excuse me for geeking out, but I am old and have always been a huge music nerd. This is giving the New Wave sound of the early Eighties. It is not a sample but it sounds familiar because it is very reminiscent of 'Take on Me' by A-Ha.

I Love this song & the MV is amazing. The entire 'Freefall' album is amazing. No-Skip. Honestly, they keep topping themselves with every comeback. This is why TXT is an ULT Group. They don't miss. 💙💙💙💙💙 Looking forward to seeing the 'Freefall' album reaction.

It's the same sound/instrumental from Thursday's Child, but the melody strongly reminds me of "Take On Me" by Ah-Ha (came out in 1985, I think). That's why it sounds retro. Listen to the first 30 seconds or so of Take On Me, and you'll hear that sound. It's really cool to see TXT go 80s here. They are always experimenting, like you said, and I love it!
