Delighted to listen to this magnificent treat - penned by Jigar Moradabadi Saab - in the soulful voice of the great Mehdi Hassan Saab - all over again - ofcourse in a different orientation altogether ! How beautifully did the accompanists supplement and complement with the great Mehdi Hassan Saab ! It was, infact, a treat to listen ! How soulfully did the great Khan Saab perform it ! What a wonderful feeling it has been ! I have enjoyed it thoroughly ! "Bahut Hi Sukun Mila Sunkar !" What's so special with the great Mehdi Hassan Saab was the fact that he had an uncanny ability to render the tragic and romantic nuances of the Urdu couplets with equal proficiency and consummate ease ! Perhaps, that might be the reason - as to how the great Khan Saab could unleash such path - breaking masterpieces at regular intervals ! Agonies and ecstasies of life got fully reflected in his renditions, owing to his magical voice and inimitable style of gayiki ! Thankful to the channel operator for its immaculate choice of uploads ! Look forward to listen to many more of such rare and melodious stuff in the days to come !

Mehdi Hassan is the ultimate gayak of shastrya sangeet.He will continue to rule classical.singing for next 200 years atleast.from last 10 years i am listening his ghazals every day without fail.and never got bored of it.In fact i am addict of his gayaki.

Waqar awan its not correct in any way, every singer has strengths and weaknesses and every singer comes with his own speciality, it depends what listener is more interested in. Mehdi hassan is master of keeping the raag intact and perfect while critics say he couldn’t sing purely from his throat and used nose singing in parallel on other hand ghulam ali may mix up different raags at times and get off track from its pure form but how beautifully and moody he makes ghazal no one can do that, he always sang classical without making classical faces and he used to say this in his concerts how he practiced that... on short all legendary singers are master of there own ground, jagjit cant be ghulam ali while ghulam ali cant be jagjit

The level of excellence the great Mehdi Hassan Saab had attained in his lifetime as a singer was possible owing to his unwavering devotion to his work, sincerity of purpose and strong courage of conviction! He was the ULTIMATE in Ghazal Gayiki! Here, in this ghazal, "Teri Khusise Agar.Gham Mein Bhi Khusi Naa Hui." it was as if the beautiful poetry penned by the great Jigar Moradabadi Saab had found life in the soulful voice of the great Khan Saab! Perhaps, the great Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Saab was absolutely right in his assessment that no one could ever compete with the great Khan Saab in so far as his control over Sur is concerned! -- Amarendra Borah, Former Commissioner and Secretary, Finance Department, Govt Of Assam (India).
