I remember when Scott used to mostly do graphic design and he had just started his Tycho project. He has come a long way. Great job!

This is like a dream studio. I think most musicians have exactly his idea, everything should be easily accessible, turn on and just play. Also I like that he wasn't like "oh I only use hardware cause i'm cool", very honest with his use of VST's. Admittedly I haven't kept up on Tycho's music but his first couple of albums are some of the most gorgeous electronic-based music I've ever heard. I love how honest he is about getting 75% of his sound "in-the-box" despite having all that amazing hardware.

Thanks Scott for your performance at Dave Smith's Memorial in San Francisco. We miss Dave so much and man; your creativity at evening elevated us--briefly--above our grieving. Carry on Sir with your great work and I'll look forward to seeing you live again soon.

This is the perfect example of modern production. It takes a technical mind and also a musical one. Scott is exactly that type of person.

I used to work with Scott around 98 at an electronics store called the good guys!, on Sunrise Blvd outside Sacramento. He was a student at Sac state at the time. He was in personal electronics/computers and sold computers, cameras and Walkmans etc. He seems pretty much the same in this video except for the gray hair.

I love how he pronounces "tremolo" as "tre-MOH-loh."

Scott’s taste is immaculate. Dive is still in heavy rotation; his tone on that album is the essence of the “warm analog” sound! An inspiration to me for sure.

I could listen to Scott all day! What a fantastic resource this video was. Tycho is my biggest influence and his earlier work makes me quite nostalgic, but above all his music just sounds so good!

Scott is a genius. Inspirational. Amazing style, but also cool to see how pragmatic and efficient his space is.

These are my favorite type of studios. Even though there are a lot of inputs, you can tell he focuses more on quality as opposed to quantity. The way Scott's brain works is so incredible and I feel like it manifests itself physically into the ergonomics of the space overall which is so cool to see. Heck, even down to how comfortably dressed he is in his creation space. It's all about ease and getting from A to B with as little resistance as possible. Huge respect for him! Incredible video, great edit, wonderful sound!! PS, who's got a line on the slippers? Those things look COMFY.
