This video again reminds me why you are one of the very best tyers I've ever seen. I am always struck by the correctness of proportion of your flies (they have a "flow" to them when examined from end to end), as well as a perfectionist's attention to the small details. There never seems to be a fiber out of place, bits of material sticking out from the head, cement in the hook eye ... NOTHING. Not even when magnified to several times actual size. Thanks for sharing the video and I look forward to the next one.

I love this fly Dave, it’s not unlike the Irish shrimp fly “Curry’s red shrimp” outstanding as always Davie but I do really like this one it’ll take Irish fish all year round!

Davie, I have recently bought a job lot of materials off ebay and it came with a ton of micro fritz. I was wandering if you could do a new video using micro fritz to tie a nymph or wet fly. I am going to scotland in may for a week with the wife and kids and staying on a fly fishing loch so maybe something that might catch me my first ever scottish trout ? Many thanks Gareth

Another fantastic video Davie. Cracking pattern. Bit of a question if you have a few minutes, nymph flies pal, how do you stop them catching weed. A lot of videos showing ‘weedless’ flies or using a leader ‘guard’ as it were seem to be more for larger flies or sea flies. If I use a nymph set up almost .60-70% of the time the fly or flies will snag some sort of weed and it’s costing me. I prefer a floating line with a tapered leader and have tried various lengths of leader, various indicators for added buoyancy, altered retrieving speeds to keep the flies up but still end up snagging bloody weed. Im currently fishing stillwater lakes which have a terrible problem with weed which is obviously great for the fish but a pain in the arse for me. To be honest this is why I am mainly fishing dries. Any suggestions or advice?
