Bumbles are the top dropper fly for lough style fishing. A bumble that makes a good disturbance as it is pulled through the waves can at times be almost irresistible to wild brown trout. In this yellow Mayfly bumble I use a collar of deer hair under the front hackle to try to enhance this effect. As it is a bumble for mayfly time on the Irish loughs then a few turns of French Partridge hackle a the front of the fly is quite appropriate.
