This is the best egg pattern EVER! It outfishes otter eggs, Antron nuke eggs and every other egg pattern.

I've watched you tie the blood dot. I watched Jeff Blood tie it. Your ultra egg, I think, is the best looking. I haven't fished any but the glow bugs I've tied. You mentioned Lafontaine, have you ever heard of a cased caddis pattern that I believe he tied, it had a piece of foam tethered to the bend of the hook like a tail and it was weighted at the head. Supposedly it fished hook bend up and perpendicular to the bottom on a drift. I read that in a magazine probably over 30 years ago and no one I've asked remembers it. I looked at your video list , I think the last video was 2 years ago. Are you still producing? I'm going to visit your web site. I've already subscribed to your KZfaq channel a long time ago. Thanks for all you teach, you're very good at it. By the way, what type of yarn did you use on the update egg?

Another great vid!! Thanks as always. Have you ever hear of a fly called the "dirtball" and if so can you make a how to video for me? A guy in my fly tying class swears this is the best fly in the world I just don't know how to make them.

Yes. It works great on all species of trout.

Trout eggs are bigger than that fly arnt they?

Actually the individual eggs are SIGNIFICANTLY smaller. You're likely referring to the eggs purchased in the jars. Those are cured Salmon eggs or synthetic. A piece of skein (membrane that holds thousands of eggs) the size of this fly would likely contain over 100 individual eggs.

i think many trout eggs are 5mm in diameter
