I have the RK 37S which basically is a TYM and yes they are built like tanks. Looked at a lot of other brands before I purchased and they didn't seem to be built as robust as the RK / TYM. I then did a little research on TYM and found they've been in business for 70 years and are considered to be at the top of the heap for manufacturing and technology worldwide. They obviously are doing something right.

Great video Tony. I test drove a T574 and T454 back to back recently and noticed two things I think others could benefit from knowing. The 574 felt like it had less power despite the spec sheet. I assume the Yanmar makes more torque 🤷‍♂️. I also noticed that the hydraulics on both were unusually slow. So i dug into the specs and compared them to other tractors and noticed the hydraulic flow is lower than others and especially so in the 574. I also looked at cycle times on the TYM site and the bucket takes 5 seconds to dump! Otherwise I liked both tractors.
@TonysTractorAdventure
@TonysTractorAdventure Жыл бұрын
The hydraulic speed is based upon the flow rate and the size of the cylinders. TYM puts on bigger cylinders which require more fluid. TYM has generally close to the average flow rate, but due to the larger cylinders it slows the loader down.

Are the 8 speed shuttle shift transmissions on the T574 and T494 so bad that no body does a review on them. Everyone buys the HST. Would like to know how the ratio is from gear to gear and see if it shifts smoothly.
@TonysTractorAdventure
@TonysTractorAdventure Жыл бұрын
It has nothing to do with this brand. 80% of tractor buyers are first time buyers. HST is reliable and easier to learn. Shuttle shift in every brand under 60hp is dramatically down. Shuttle shift doesn't start showing up until hay tractors and most of them are electronic shuttle shift which is just about as easy as HST. I am an old tractor guy, and I went HST. It is better for loader work. I have driven the T574 shuttle and it is fine. It is just a shuttle shift. Nothing more or less.

@@TonysTractorAdventure You represent TYM pretty good. How come you haven't done a review on the 8 speed shuttle shift. I'm old school too. You can't kill a gear drive. Would like to know if TYM has fixed the old problem of the ratio difference between 4th low and 1st high. Are they close together or are they far apart like the older tractors. Every time 4th low was to slow 1st high was too fast. HST is ok but it's a pain to keep your foot on the pedal all the time..
