Peter is the true sex symbol of the gothic culture, the way he sings soothes and heals scars, his poems sound like roses that surround the fine line between heaven and hell.

Theres a blog about him moderated by his family and friends. He loved nature, cats, cars, love (ahem WOMEN), and of course, rock music. He was such a funny, generous man.

I just discovered this band yesterday. It's like the sound I have been looking for forever.

this man, this man spoke the right words. my father always said i wasn't romantic at all. the songs he was making me listen to just didn't make me feel the way type o negative songs do. they're so well done, from the sound to the voice to the lyrics. it's absolute perfection and if i get to love someone, i need it to be the way it's presented in their songs, and no other.

There will NEVER be a harder song than this, nor one nearly as beautiful. Peter gave us a gift that should never be taken for granted.

I discovered this group as a young teen back in 1993, been hooked ever since. I stray a while and let my senses play in other genres and other hang-up's musically... but I always find myself back to TON when my sanity and soul need it the most. RIP Green Man... Thank You.

I saw them Halloween in 1998 at the Trocadero Theatre in Philly when I was a junior in high school. He was super tall! Great band. Bands like this just do not exist anymore!

This man's deep voice helped soothe some deep wounds when I was younger and still soothes those same wounds to this day.

It's a shame that he never felt like he was actually good enough. The man's soul bled out from his pours in everything he did, and it was something special and beautiful to see. I hope he found peace in whatever lies beyond this hellscape.

I've been listening to Type O Negative since 1993. I listened to the band's records so much on a daily basis that when Peter died, it was like I'd lost a friend. I never saw them play live, but I still listen to all their records to this day. I hope new generations of listeners can enjoy it as much as we do.

I am fan girling at the age of 53, over this band. This song is so good, and I only discovered it a day ago. I have started on the type o negative road of discovery and im so excited.

90s was a very gothic decade. Type O Negative, Tim Burton movies, johnny depp,Winona Ryder, buffy vampire slayer, scooby doo and witch ghost. such a nostalgia.... Edit : Also the Cure "wish", The Crow, cocteau twins "heaven or Las Vegas", Neve campbell "the craft & wild things", Bram stoker's Dracula, interview with the vampire.

I feel like certain songs are enchanted, this masterpiece is definitely one of them.

Mid-break bridge to the outro is so removed from the first two verses, but the song would go from a 10 to a 5 if it was removed. It not only sets up the ending of the song, which is so beautiful, but it also shows such diversity in their sound, letting them sing more light, breathy and higher toned, which would be jarring in any other context but it works so well here.

What makes this song so magical to me is how he begins like an uber-confident sexual beast ready to take on his conquest.. then midway there's this eeirily beautiful guitar solo. then he does a 180 and catches you completely off gaurd with "am I good enough.. for you?" it crushes you the same way life crushes you. Totally bares his weak side.. incredibly brilliant. Can't believe it took me till 2022 to find this song. So glad I did.

Type O Negative will always be bittersweet for me. Because my best friend got me into them not so long ago. Then just a few months after he got me into them. He died. April 4th last year Adam died. He left me with MANY gifts. One of them was a love of Type O Negative. Ironically he only knew of a few songs. I ended up really getting into them more than him. Lol.

About a year ago, me and my hubby were arguing about something, out of nowhere we hear the sound of a piano/keyboard playing on the radio in the background. The fight stops dead in its tracks. We hear one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard, we just stopped and listened. When the song is almost over me and hubby look at eachother lovingly, embrace eachother, and apologize for the rotten things we said. I use my phone to find out what were listening to, and that's how I became a TON fan and listening to this right now :) Also I found out about a month after finding this song that it's a good one to play during makeup sex (thinking about it now I should have known that already lol)
