my dad is a bus driver and an old man got on the bus and he stood up while having a seizure whilst the bus was moving. My dad saw him in the rear mirror and immediately pulled onto the side of the road. The old mans head was split by a pole on the bus so my dad wrapped his favourite jumper around his head so he didnt bleed out until the ambulance arrived. The ambulance arrived and the mans life was saved.

If the bus is pulling out into traffic they can't reopen the door because they'd be blocking traffic and could cause an accident due to inpatient car drivers behind also on the newer buses you got something called a hult break on the front door which won't allow the bus to move unless it's fully closed and u can imagine the problem that causes in the middle of the road waiting for that to close. Also when pulling out their attention is focused on the traffic so they don't always see you until the last minute when it's too late. If they open the door and you trip and fall they get in trouble if they've already pulled away from the stop and a lot of people don't understand that they get the blame for everything.

My grandparents were on a separate bus to us once because we were going to stay and do some shopping, we got back and they weren't their, we tried to call them but their phones were off. As a south african bus drivers are stupidly strict especially to schoolchildren but i feel that this is good as it shows discipline to schoolchildren but NEVER EVER forget to scan your rea vaya ,metrobus,putco smarttap,gautrain or ndot card(we dont have a standerdised card system) or they will kick you off the bus and not give you a chance to rescan

I live on the wirral. One day I was on my way home from school in year 7 and I have to change buses in Birkenhead but I missed the stop and it was like 6pm so I asked the bus driver to open the door at the red light and he said "I can't open the doors at a red light, you'll have to wait until the next stop" so I did and had to wait until we got to Liverpool and tried to call my mum who told me to get off at the next stop and she'll pick me up. I was there for about half an hour on my phone crying to my mum and thinking someone was just gonna stab me in the middle of Liverpool. The next bus that came along opened the door by me and asked if I was ok though and my mum managed to pick me up and drive me home so I was ok. Another time I got on the bus going the wrong way and ended up in new ferry with my friends.
