No, citizens of Ghana are not eligible to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to visit Canada. The eTA is available only to citizens of visa-exempt countries. Since Ghana is not on the list of visa-exempt countries, Ghanaian citizens must apply for a visitor visa (Temporary Resident Visa, TRV) to enter Canada. Pls i want to know the difference between visit visa and tourist visa and how many years do they give for the visit visa and the tourist visa.

A visit visa is a visa that allows you to come to Canada for a shorter stay without working. A visit visa can be granted for tourism purposes which is a Tourist visa or for business purposes which is a business visit visa. The processing officer can grant you 5 or 10 years multiple entry but each time you enter, you are allowed to stay inside Canada for a period of 6 months and you have to leave Canada after your stay and enter another time using the same visa if it is a multiple entry visa. In some cases, the entry office can give you a specific period of time to stay inside and that could be less than the 6 months or even more than the 6 months. Remember, you are not allowed to work on a visit visa. I hope this helps

Yes, you can do that but the company hiring you will have to apply for the labour market impact assessment document in order to use it to hire you. These whole process could take more than 6 months so you need to make that provisions

A visit visa is to visit Canada without work authorization. That means you are only allowed to enter Canada with it and just visit either for tourism purposes, business visit or study a program which is less than 6 months. Work visa is for the purposes of coming to work either through an employer sponsored or an Open Work Permit as a dependent to a spouse or a principal applicant who is already in Canada on a study permit or work permit. The Work Visa allows you to board the plane and the permit is given at the port of entry. LMIA is required if an employer is sponsoring your work permit. You do not need an LMIA if it is an Open Work Permit. "Work Permit with LMIA exemption" under certain circumstances. LMIA stands for Labour Market Impact Assessment, which is typically required for most work permits.
