I’m glad it was helpful! Marine Biology and Environmental Science are awesome majors, and they definitely work together, if you wanted to do a double Major, or add one as a minor! Lots to think about! Enjoy the rest of high school!

I'm interested in going into ES. Im not really sure which branch/major though. I've been really interested in sustainability and caring for the earth, and working to protect the earth would be amazing. 🥺Thanks for the info, maybe it'll help me decide!

As a sophomore in cc that is about to transfer to a four-year, I was beginning to get anxious because I have yet to figure out what branch of environmental science I want to get into. This video definitely helped me narrow down my choices, so thank you for your video! 🤗

I’m interested in water quality in lakes and ocean, how snowpack is effecting water supply etc, and wildlife/plants not interested in sustainably, history, politics, communications, humanities, engineering, etc what should I major in?

I would say environmental biology or ecology would be a good choice! Or chemistry! Or wildlife biology!

Hi! I'm a junior in high school and currently interested in majoring in environmental engineering or something similar because I enjoy science and math. Do you have any ideas as to what other majors are similar to this? Still need some more researching to do...
@EvelynPaige3 жыл бұрын
Civil engineering is a more broad major, but there’s also Environmental Health Science or Environmental Science if you are interested more in the science side! I would look more into what environmental engineers actually do for their job and see if that’s what you want to do or not! Some schools have Sustainable Systems Engineering and stuff like that too! Definitely keep looking stuff up online!

hey! im reallyyyyy interested in something where I can work with like helping the protection of the environment with underdeveloped countries, and also the conservation of animals. I also am looking for something really dynamic with like physically projects and not just reading and research. Which one is the best? thankssss
@EvelynPaige Жыл бұрын
I would say just Environmental Science or maybe natural resource management? Or wildlife management? But you can really tailor any environmental science or policy major to be whatever you want. You can choose classes, projects, and apply for internships that are in the areas and types of careers you are interested in. At the end of the day your exact major doesn’t matter

What is the difference between environmental law and environmental policy
@EvelynPaige2 жыл бұрын
Environmental law would probably work more with lawsuits, challenging policies and regulations or lack there of, working in the court system…environmental policy is more like figuring out what regulations and policies are best, coming up with the policies…does that make sense? Definitely Google it lol

Hi! I have a little question. Can a person with a degree in Environmental Science, create their own company? I´am very interested in this career, but I need to know if I could create a green company or something like that with a degree in Environmental Science. Thanks! I loved this video, it helped me so much. Sorry if I wrote something wrong, my english is not good enough :((

I think you definitely could! You might want to consider adding a minor or double major in business or entrepreneurship as well to help with running your business:)

I’m a sophomore in highschool but I’ve been thinking a lot about what I wanna major in. Im interested in environmental science but I don’t know if that’s good for what I want to do? I care a lot for our planet and I want to help protect our planet, animals and people on Earth. I want to study the environment and animals and study how people and climate change affect our environment. I want to go out in the field and collect samples, observe and do lab work and data analysis on the stuff I gather. I’m not sure what kind of job or major that would fall into though?

It depends on what you want to do! You could do a masters in environmental science if you want to do research/get a PhD eventually. You could get a masters in environmental policy, environmental management, business, environmental education, etc. so many options!

@@EvelynPaige whether environmental sustainability is a better option
@EvelynPaige2 жыл бұрын
@@kez2001 I would base it on what career you want. Sustainability would look more at the people side, and how people can be more eco friendly. Environmental Science would be more of the science side, research. Sustainability is broader

Do you have to do a lot of math for this major?

You need Calculus and Statistics 👍🏻 and there are calculations in your chemistry/bio/ecology/environmental science classes. So a decent amount of math but not as much as other majors
