I was on dance team and all this is true. We had two girls who did both dance and cheer. One girl came in with a new brace everyday. Both wrists, both ankles, both knees, and hips. Our coach ended up pulling her from a competition because she almost sprained her ankle doing a leap.

Haha love that I cheered highschool with a torn tendon and broken ankle in a walking boot for 3 months and ended up having surgery to fix it but it was great 👍 😂

When I did cheer I was ALWAYS a flyer cause I was so light, and for some reason I wanted to be a base. When I tried out being a base I was like "I think I'll stick to being a flyer"😂😂😂Love you guys so much and can't wait to see more awesome videos!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

@Sid Jane I moved states and I have always done dance plus it was cheaper just to do one. So once I started moving up in both and we moved, my parents had me pick just one to stay in. But, I absolutely love dance so much! I met my best friend because of it, plus its always cool to see peoples faces when you drop into the splits. But I don't regret my decision, I do dance for my high school and I would much rather be on the dance team than their cheer team. A lot of the cheerleaders are super snotty. But ya, its super fun!

@Sid Jane thank you that was 4 years ago,i have always danced but now im more passionate! Cheer was def fun but it was a lot of you rbody, dance is a well but cheer gave me a alot of health problems,I was very thin and had to go to doctors and get alot of test bc of it bc it was so much on my body and dancers are so much nicer and not as snooty

I want to be a cheerleader but I didn’t make the last tryouts. I still have about a year left till next tryouts and I have improved a lot! I watch your videos everyday and I am still trying to get my dad to make me that stunt stand on your DIY video. I now take tumbling classes and I am working on a lot of skills. You guys are great motivation because I often have a hard time with some skills and I will watch a video including them, and it will get me motivated. I love your cheer videos the most but i still watch your gymnastics ones, too. You guys are a great inspiration and I love you so much! (Edit) I also am subscribed and have the notifications on. I also liked the video! ☺️

I wasn't a HS cheerleader, but if I were & if I could actually tumble, I would've definitely been the full-time tumbler! Thank you guys for posting, you all are beautiful, as always! ! At my school we can’t be one dance and cheer we have to pick. And we don’t get brakes unless it’s after a halftime or quarter. We can’t talk either which I don’t like, but it’s only cuz we need to be able to hear if a cheer is called. And I can relate to most of these lol

My ex from high school (and college) got dropped being the flyer, she was still easily the best tumbler at our school even with that injury. She broke her arm badly though. She was a talented gymnast, and that ended her chance at realizing that talent.

In my school, the cheerleaders do sideline plus a halftime show/ dance. The halftime show is like a long cheer with dance and music and tumbling and stunts. we don’t have a dance team in our school

Ariana G Me too except I am 60 years old and disabled; two disc’s removed and a spinal fusion, two bulging discs, one at sternum level and the other at belly button level. , titanium rods and screws in my lower back and I just hurt my a.c.l. In my right knee when I and my walker wrecked in the parking lot of my apartment building and I also had two surgeries on each of my knees . I always ways wanted to be a cheerleader in school when I was a teenager but I just missed making the team and the last time I was told that I had made alternate but I was not told what that meant so I got into and lettered in G.A.A. Which was the Girl’s Athletics Association . Which was making cheer banners and locker tags for football team members. And we also put together the game programs and scald them and when not doing that I was cheering for the for the football team at the home games . In the stands each grade were separated and would cheer the loudest to see who could win the spirit stick . I still think back on those days.

Since I am a former gymnast, I was definitely the full-time tumbler but I appreciated it because everyone knew that I was a great cheerleader and athlete because the girl doing the back flip is a little more interesting than the girls doing a super basic stunt.

I'm type 5 (the new one) and I'm actually really proud of how I'm doing, sure I almost passed out during cheer camp cause we were wearing big black shirts and it was so hot but i think I'm doing really well, btw I'm backspot in my cheer group :)

I’m a mix but another girl and I were always full time tumblers...now that she’s gone I’m gonna be the only full time one. And when I’m not full time tumbling I’m the “full time jumper” and “full time stunter” because my stunt group always does the most and we pretty much always hit our stunts
