Equii join is not that straight forward bro it can be used when you want to retrieve data using 2 or more table even though they don't have any common field For eg there are 2 tables employee and dept We have emp address and dept address If we want to retrieve data of those employees whose address =dept address Then we can do it using equii join In short equii join is not only used to match values of common fields It can be used to match values of any 2 or more fields You should also mention this bro By the way not a hater btw regular viewer just helping to improve the content

As you said, for joining two tables, they should have a common column which should have same name, but isn't it true that we can join 2 tables on two different column names and should emphasis on the type of data in those two columns?

Really nice question...!!! It's always better to get answer in your own doing experimenting... that way it not only clears the doubt but also solidifies your understanding... Moving to the lecture, he's simply implying to have some same values on the column name with which you want to implement the join operations... Having said that as you stated it is true that we can join 2 tables on two different column names being id for personal table and pid for professional table...!!! Hope it helps...
