As a WOF MAP host, I can definitely say that MAPs bring many animators together to provide something they completed together. Yes, I am the mass-producer… I currently have many MAPs OPEN to Beginners and Experienced Animators. The MAP community is special and also kind no matter what.

id like to call one "the over achiever". aka the map host that puts wayyyy too much effort into their maps, so much so that they never even get the map call out :') calling myself out a bit. I have this one map I've been thinking about for legit like years but it hasn't come out because there's so much work I still have to do,,,

I’m definitely a mix of once in a moon + the lagger, I often go into intense detail for the map call, designs, sets, references, rules etc and end up burning out on the project because of this :,)

Yeah, I know a certain copycat... So does anyone know NekoVocalNote's SwiftPaw amv "in the end"? It got 9 million veiws and recently some host posted a map called "In the End, a Swiftpaw map REANIMATED". I felt like that was a huge slap in the face for Neko. I never been a fan of REANIMATED maps because I felt like it was a insult to the original animator(s) who spent like several years working on that amv, just for some people to think that they can do better and copy and even TRACED the art. How lazy are they?? So I looked at the comments of the copycats video, and other people were just as angry as I was! But the host refused to take it down.

@Stringbeaniscool Yeah ikr? Like, I'm ok if it's just a reanimated map for a song or scene in a movie or show but not if it's another map or amv.

@@user-AtiredAnimatorreanimated MAPs aren’t too bad. As long as the original creator gave permission. It’s just the host of that specific map KNEW Neko left, and took advantage of that to say “they never said we couldn’t”

As someone also in the community its okay to never finish these things, okay to drop parts and run from motivation, no one is getting paid in these things so its okay and should be normalized to take your time.

Im kinda a mass producer (i only have two maps. One finished one unfinished that im afraid ill have to finish on my own or will have too rehost if more people dont join). Im happy i got to make my own map and the feedback on it is incredible, i never expected the reaction lol

Yeah I remember this user, funnily enough their discord server back in 2019 after I participated in one of their maps (as a backup, before it was rehosted where I then got a full part) is how I met some of my friends I’m still close with today. I’m glad I didn’t get much closer to that user though cus I was quite young

I have been in 2 maps (both incomplete) though I am a sort of beginner (both maps by the same smallish creator they have like 1k subs) one was advertised as a beginners map though it wasn't it was a lip sync and the person made sure to say everyones parts needed to be an accurate lip sync but on the small part I saw that they made didn't do so themselves, not all the parts ended up even being claimed,

I currently have two MAPs being hosted on another site as kind of a starter before moving it over to KZfaq. Definitely a category that could be there are beginner hosts. There are a lot of small creators out there wanting to share their ideas, but their MAPs aren’t getting anywhere, really. Also, love the Glory art! The brushes you used for so well and it looks so soft!

Scratch is a great place to do this lol, people there will randomly see your projects from 7 years ago and be like “Can I enter!?2!?2!”

@@FunDipOneDip Lol, I’m actually a Scratch user myself. It’s always encouraging when smaller artists want to join MAPs based around their interests or they see a cool thing they want to be a part of. :)

@@HavensCorner Yes!! and I am almost finished putting together a MAP, but due to quitting Scratch, I think I will ask all the contestants if they’re fine with it being posted to youtube (with credits of course!!) Though I’m debating whether to keep people’s parts in if they left scratch too, because then they probably won’t reply.

I would say I’m the once in a moon map host but not really. I usually wait for one map to be finished before I even THINK about hosting another.

I’m both the lagger and the mass producer lol. I tend to focus on one MAP at a time but often can’t help but host another one over time. I’m working on it though!! Problem will be fixed someday :)

4:37 I would like to completely agree with all of this subject posted around Copycats. The Wings Of Fire fandom is just mostly (99.3%) so lazy with their maps, they act like they can get away with copying someone's life long work and easily paste it into a 'Map.' Now I'm on Team Wings of Fire. But. For. Every. Single. WOF. Map. Hoster: Start working ur behinds off and make maps that are ACTUALLY enjoyable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And not some clone of something from a bunch of fictional cats. Please-! AUs are fine for example: Wings of Fire suddenly making it to the Warrior Cats Universe or whatever and maybe committing crimes or somethin' I don't bloody know. Stop with the cheap knock-offs, ur MAPS remind me of Store-Branded chips I see stores put at the beginning of each isle to promote their 'stuff' because no one buys it. 💀💀

heard many and i fall into some of them as well ^^; rn hosting a map that, is storyboard, but our current storyboard person is busy with their own stuff and im left to do the storyboarding, but there is still 14 remaining to storyboard and its actually tough to do so, as you need to draw a clear view and idea what is happening for the person to know what is happening (even though we have a script, the storyboard person insist everything to be storyboard) ;3;

Ive seen a lot of people that are in maps have up to 9 or 5 map parts and they dont do the part that for there map there in because there busy with other maps i usually dont get it like dont pack you're self with maps and then to get yourself stress out about doing the map part that you forgot about. I also hate when people join a map and like they do it a little bit but then like in 3 days or even a month or vlose to the due date of the map there like "oh yeah im sorry im honna have to drop out bc i dont have enough motivation or time" PLZ dont join a map if you know that ypur not gonna have motivation to finish it. Its not worth the host time and its very annoying I would say more but thats my problem that im annoyed about when i host maps or if im in a map

I’d probably call myself a mass producer and a slight lagger. I’ve opened at least 9 MAPs and had to abandon 2 but that was more due to the fact that neither ever got full which resulted in me losing interest.
