Mai Zamora from the charity World Vision describes the scene in the Philippines, as the super Typhoon Haiyan, one of the strongest storms on record makes landfall. Winds blowing at about 300kph have battered the central islands of Sama and Leyte.

Mother Nature's wrath will continue as long as our despicable ways shall not cease. We are only paying the price of our insensitivity towards our beloved earth.. What we can do now is to double our preparation and awareness and hopefully stop tormenting her. It's a valuable lesson to learn... We live not only for ourselves but we live for others. We are mutually dependent with other because we live in a single planet... My condolence to the bereaved families...

Praying: how to think that you're doing something while you're doing nothing...i mean honestly guys, if God is in control of this then he should have stopped this typhoon from landing to his "beloved" philippines in the first place keeping from the sacrifice of the death of thousands of his children. and also this calamity should serve as a lesson to the incompetency and weak mindedness of the pinoys, if only they have learned from the past typhoons and floods on how things like these would ravage millions then they should have had better building codes, ethics, logistics,disaster management plans, urban planning, better government and distribution of goods..possibly resulting into a minimal and lesser casualty. and also it has been 5 days now and relief goods are not yet to be found in some areas?!,..where the hell are the civil defense, the government officials?, the military?! the authorities to stop this madness?!. well in japan after the tsunami, it only took three days to work things out, don't tell me phil government that you're this kind of KUPAD to do something fruitful, other than being defensive on the radio while sipping coffee (korina sanchez issue) , the whole world is watching you pilipinas..try to behave naman kahit minsan

Look, just because God sent this typhoon doesn't mean He doesn't love the Filipinos. Maybe He just wants the Filipinos to recognize that in every situation of life, God is in control. Sometimes, He sends calamities to teach people a lesson, even if it's painful.

Please HELP us surpass these horrific events. Now the News report says that the approximate count of casualties went up to 10,000(killed or missing) caused by the Super typhoon Yolanda or Haiyan. Towns in Leyte and Tacloban, Philippines was nearly wiped out. We are still trying to recover with the casualties caused by the 7.2 magnitude earthquake disaster that recently happened within the Visayas area of the Philippines. My fellowmen really needs help to recover from this calamity. I'm sincerely asking for any type of assistance or contribution that can help us end this struggle and get through this tragedy. You must be thankful because your country is spared from this natural disaster. Actually, not just a typhoon occurred in the Philippines, also a really really great earthquake. Everything, especially the 4 century churches were broken and damaged. That's why you must pray to God always and he will guide you wherever you are. :)

Behind all disasters, there are revengeful spirits and unseen dark forces.... show mercy to pure animals and dont kill dont eat friends on earth. I am very sorry for what happened in many countries that have got attacked back by natural disasters.. but cannot do anything about making people understand the law of Karma.

***** let's say that the thyphoon come upon u...u do pray, i suppose. In 2013, Philipines army called SULU attack my states (Sabah, Malaysia), many people were killed. I feel sory for those who didn't have the intention like the SULU army does...but this is a warning!

It's not a joke when this happened! ALLAH really need to tell the non muslim to stop demolishing the mosque day by day to the non islam believer.
