I wish we could all go back to 2000-2002. The Storm was such an awesome video, my friends and I would watch that all the time before we’d go out skating. I’m 39 so those days ‘98-‘03 were the best years of my life. Nothing will ever compare. Sad life now, Groundhog Day every day.

This one was my favorite interview so far. Tyrone had a huge impact on my childhood. I loved his Evol still life part so much and his TSA part and of course the rest of his stuff. I lived in Point Loma and got lucky enough to skate a lot of those same San Diego spots at the time that the Osiris crew was in their prime. The Celentani video's were also absolutely amazing. Tyrone has such a fun personality it seems watching this.

I remember rolling up to 4 Seasons and watching Tyrone absolutely decimate the park every session. Raw aggression with so much control and just exuded passion for skateboarding every single second on and off the board. Always hyping up the locals when they were going for it too, forever one of my all time favorite skateboarders and humans.

'Twas the beginning of summer 1998. June 2nd, to be exact... I had broken my leg and was put in a leg cast. The only video I had at the moment was Welcome to Hell. My friend brought over a copy of Still Life and Thrill of it All. For about 2 months straight, I STUDIED those videos. You did some fancy footwork in there, I still tell kids about Still Life today. 😊😊😊

Me and me group of friends that filmed eachother in the early days used to vote to see what video we wanted to watch before we went to skate and we had most of the past and present videos and that almost video was one of the dvds that started to skip bc we watched it so many times but that skit and the skate part was the best man I woukd laugh so hard bc the mannerisms on screen combined with that voice track were classic and then the tricks were gnarly.

It's funny because I lived over in Madison during the late 90s, and was surprised that it had a solid scene. The city reminded me a bit of Austin, but colder! Library mall had that ledge; there was another one near the engineering building; the Franklin Lloyd Wright building (at the top of the hill near the capital) had a ledge in front; and there was a manual pad at the post office building. Recall one summer day that I saw a session at that manny pad, and someone do a nollie flip out of a nose manual. Everyone went wild. Good memories---great food (food court peanut chicken stew with rice), and a Thai place with a great catfish curry. Some good record stores too. At least back then. Two dudes let me skate with them every once and a while, which was super nice ( as a loner in an unknown city, it was an act of kindness that I'll never forget). Not trying to make this about me, but hearing Tyrone talk about Madison, and library mall specifically, brought back so many memories. It's a nice place. Enjoyed this one a lot. His trajectory is wild. Just bailing to Ca., and making it.
