History was made in Turkey after dramatic six-man playoff ended under the floodlights as Tyrrell Hatton secured the biggest 1st prize in European Tour history.

Justin Rose returns to defend his title at the Turkish Airlines Open as the first of three season-ending Rolex Series events arrives. Rose is looking to become the first player to win the same European Tour event in three consecutive years since Colin Montgomerie in 2000. ... Would be interesting to see how they would manage a six man play off at Augusta given that it often gets dark for a two man play off.... Monday finish?

Is that the first ever floodlit playoff on the European Tour? Can't remember that happening before. In fact cannot recall that ever happening on any Tour.

I think the lights might be a future thing for golf. Anyway the 18 hole is a gem. You better have A game to play that hole well. Well done guys

It looks amazing to have a floodlit golf play-off, this must be something that the golf authorities should consider as it brings a whole new dimension to golf tournaments.

Played under the lights a couple of years ago and enjoyed a lovely meal and drinks looking over the 18th green. One of the best golfing experiences I’ve had.

If you plan to visit here are few tips. Antalya Rocks, love this city. and the food, OMG it is a heaven. best golf courses, this city really hosts 11 million tourists? unbelievable, in 50 miles costs. it sits 268 mega resorts, we also stayed at Mardan Palace $1,5 billion dollar resort , Adam and Eve very modern architecture , Ragnum Carya (7star resort and price ?do not ask just enjoy it) ,real cute one is the hotel called "Orange County". modeled and looks like Holland streets, more lively, 90% Europeans .if near the city, we picked the Sheraton ,and Dedeman (very reasonable). we recommend all these as we stayed in every one, ,Southern Turkey have the same whether as the Southern California ..we love to come here every other year, we will try the Turkish Rivera area, little costal towns like Gocek and Fethiye,Dalyan,Koycegiz area , we heard very good things about it, we definitely want to see the Sakli Kent and Pamukkale. September and May are the best times to visit, as local tourist are not out and about. lose weight before you visit Turkey so you can eat as much as you like. 99% all exclusive so. have a feast

Loved the night golf. Missed shot tracker a bit though. The upside was when it dropped on the green there was some good suspense as it could have gone anywhere!

Was watching this, I couldn't believe the playoff. I was rooting for kitayama but his last errant drive was hard to come back from especially with that pin position.

Great finish , a dream for the tournament sponsor and has to be a first on any tour for a floodlit finish, side note Byson de Chambreu would love this tournament he could take all night to finish his round, LOL.
