Tyson Fury - Is a British professional boxer. He is a two-time world heavyweight champion, having held the WBC and The Ring magazine titles since defeating Deontay Wilder in 2020; previously he held the unified WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO and The Ring titles after defeating Wladimir Klitschko in 2015. With his defeat of Wilder, Fury became the third heavyweight, after Floyd Patterson and Muhammad Ali, to hold The Ring magazine title twice, and is widely considered by media outlets to be the lineal heavyweight champion.

The best Heavyweight in the world! I've been watching Tyson Fury ever since I saw his pro debut back in 2008 and it's clear to see that he's become a brilliant well-rounded fighter. For a man of his size his movement and distance control is excellent, he can fight multiple types of styles depending on who's in front of him and I can't wait to see the Fury-Whyte fight! The Gypsy King at his best. www.patreon.com/haNZAgod

@@The_Reality_Filter It's hard to say that.......True, his size and mobility alone would cause Heavyweights of any era problems. Add to that his well rounded skills, chin, heart and stamina and yes he definately looks like a tough nights work for anyone. The problem is in his depth of resume. Top fighters of yesteryear fought scores and scores of fights, some in the hundreds against Champions and elites back to back quite often. Wins against, Whyte, AJ and Usyk to clear out all of this era and retiring Undisputed and undefeated, then we have a real discussion on whether he would win in a fight against Champions of old.....But being 'the best' and rating a fighters career against others is a different question. I think it's only fair to rate someone's career once they have retired and then their resume can be viewed in its entirety against the other greats.

@@The_Reality_Filter Err, no he wouldn't. Ali competed in an era of greats. Fury's greatest wins are a points victory over a shot Klitsckho and two very sloppy dust ups with a one-trick pony in Deontay Wilder. He's been flattered by the subpar competition, but he wouldn't be able to live with the big dogs of the late 60s and early 70s or the late 80s and early 90s.
@davesmith826
@davesmith826 2 жыл бұрын
I have a different interpretation to you. I think Fury has got worse as he's aged. If you watch early Fury you see outstanding combination punching and genuine variation in movement and tactics. Ever since his victory over Wlad, he's shown little or none of the poise he used to have. His last fight was a shitshow. Yes, he won, but it was one of the sloppiest fights I've ever seen and certainly the lowest quality title fight I've seen when judged purely on technical standards. I put this decline down to two things: Tyson's failure to take the sport of boxing seriously for any given amount of time, and his reluctance to put down the fork.

Yeah but he was showing holes here and there, he relied on size for infighting so if opponent is of same size he’s pretty vulnerable. Same goes for reach, he uses long guard and head movement for defense and keeps hands low. If opponent has same reach or good enough chin to take one to give one, it will get through.
@Sam-ht4og
@Sam-ht4og 2 ай бұрын
These are the traits Ngannou took advantage of Wilder was so fundamentally flawed and Fury has good chin and recovery so he got away with it but Ngannou exposed that Fury’s style relies heavily on his physicality and he isn’t skilled as he seemed.

Agreed but Tyson first has to beat Dillian Whyte, who has a punch and enough self belief to land it. Of Joshua and Usyk, I think Usyk is the more interesting fight. What he lacks in physical stature and reach is offset by his abilities, self belief and a boxing intellect to rival Tyson's own. I suspect Joshua hasn't got the ring IQ for Fury, but we'll see. If he can learn and adapt to beat Usyk on the rematch (which I doubt) then Joshua might have a chance against Fury. Tysons fate, and legacy, is in his own 2 fists.

I know who they are obviously…but expecting a 280 pound man to look and move like the boxers you mentioned is unrealistic. Crawford is literally half his size, so yes he is going to look a lot more technical and fluid in the ring. You have to keep in context that the Heavyweight division is it’s own beast, where a 220 pound fighter can fight against a 280 pound fighter..so many things change when talking and comparing fighters from different weight classes…Fury is one of the most unique heavyweights of all time and is currently the top fighter in that weight class, so that is reason for him to be considered one of the current best.

pound for pound is a what if, it's stupid and plain bullshit. it's like comparing a tiger to a shark, saying would a lion be as fast underwater as a shark with fins, or if a shark could be as agile as a tiger with limbs, it's based on imagination and stupidity. they made weight classes for a reason. put fury in a ring with canelo, or ali with robinson in a ring and let's see if that bullshit matters. heavyweight boxing as a diffrent sport than all other classes. you can go from lightweight to light heavy and maybe cruiserweight, but going to the heavys means death.

Most Furys fan don't realise how much he out of shape he is he fough one tricky pony if he come in poor shape vs usyk he would get rocked all Day he already show weakness against one tricky pony. 270 lbs doesnt mean shit if you are always out of shape his gym strengh its nothing special for how big he is because he is 6'9 doesnt mean he beats everyone

Tyson Fury maybe is a new boxing legend o 21 century. Thank you so much, Nza! Brilliant work. Can you make a montage about Harry Greb? About the man who inflicted the only defeat on the great Tunney?
@hanzagod

I'd love to but there aren't any fight films of Greb in existence. Well.. supposedly there is one against Tunney but nobody knows where it is or if it still exists.

@@gussstavo 100% I agree with you the best position to take is being in the middle. Are there a lot of guys from past eras that would be amazing? Absolutely but that doesn't mean every single fighter from those eras would dominate today. It's a strange one with Greb because his greatness is undeniable due to his incredible resume but not having seen even 1 second of him fighting does make me hold back a little I have to admit.

I admittedly only passively follow boxing these days and it's because MMA has so much more to offer now. But Tyson Fury is the last of a dying breed of boxers. A heavyweight with real star power, incredibly high iq and extraordinary skill set. He's a multidimensional fighter with the ability to learn his opponents and adapt with changes made as the rounds progress. He can be incredibly calm and collected and he fights smart. He's one of the only guy's left that is the whole package and so it's not eve competitive for him.
@hanzagod
@hanzagod Жыл бұрын
I used to be a huge UFC fan, maybe it's just me but it feels a bit stale these days I haven't properly watched in about 2 years now. Talking of star power how many MMA fighters out there have it? McGregor or possibly an Ngannou or Jon Jones? That's all I can think of. There are tons of talented fighters today in boxing but of course everyone has their own preference.
