This is something I tell everyone on the subject of replacing Biden. 1. If you're a Republican, hit the polls regardless. Biden can still win regardless of any Gaffs. 2. Democrats can't just replace Biden at this stage, certainly not if he doesn't want to step down. 3. Democrats have a lot more to lose placing a hopeful 2028 candidate up in 2024 than they ever could losing in 2024.

True story, I reached out to the Justice Democrats back in 2015 to potentially run for Congress with their support. They never even replied to me. I guess something about my name just made them decide I wasn't worth reaching back out to. Despite seeing myself as a far left individual at that time. My views have since changed.

Thank you for that thoughtful, non-hyperbolic analysis. Two years ago, the people close to Biden knew that he was declining rapidly, and they did nothing. How do I know they knew? Because I could tell by just looking at him and listening to him on the rare occasions they let him speak in public. For all Hilary Clinton's talk about Trump deplorables, the Democratic establishment and MSNBC are just as deplorable, even more so.

I've honestly grown to like Ana. Not ironically, or condescendingly, but genuinely appreciate her. I think her opinions on the Israel-Hamas war are dumb. I don't agree with 70% of the policies she wants. But, she has really improved as a person being more thoughtful and explorative in her individual reporting on TYT (those videos where it's just her presenting a story), and she has *massively* toned down, to all-but-gotten-rid-of, her attacks on right wingers and fellow Americans that don't vote with her, like saying they're racists, bad people etc she doesn't do that anymore, and she's openly said recently that she is personally worried about the growing toxicity in the country, she's recognized her role in it and has made it a personal task to drop it as much as possible, so honestly, kudos to her.

I don't think she's genuinely changed her views in any significant way, I think she just saw that the left is going too far left, too fast, and she's trying to reign it in purely out of strategy. Never trust these creatures, doing the right thing is nowhere on their radar, they aren't even capable of doing something just because it's the right thing to do, they would spontaneously combust if they did. The only time they ever do the right thing is when it coincidentally lines up with their personal interests.

I mean, you're not wrong, as much as it pains me to say. I think she's kind of a canary in the coal mine for the left, a sign that they can't keep going deeper and still expect to find riches. The democrats are clearly losing support at an unacceptable rate, and need to change their strategy again. What they are looking for is another Bill Clinton, someone who belongs to the democrats, but can embrace policies that are popular on the right and sell them to the center. If history repeats itself, they'll find their standard bearer, and go back to being anti-war and pro-liberty, while the republicans take power and fail to appease the center-right, leading to another democrat that appeals to more leftward sentiments like Obama. And then the cycle begins anew. I really don't want this to happen, it's not the worst possible outcome but it would be extremely disappointing for the Republicans to take back power and start behaving like its 2000 again.

So I understand your point about them giving up their chances to win by running anyone else. My problem with the upper echelon of the Dem party is the cover-up that went into this for years that the debate just exposed. Related to this, I think the biggest risk that Democrats have from a strategic perspective is disgruntled voters. People who will never vote for Trump under any circumstances, but lack the motivation to vote for Biden considering his condition. I think that this debate and the continued media debacle surrounding the will they or won't they replace Biden is it is creating apathy among the party and especially among the young bloc of the party that already felt alienated due to Biden's support for Israel and his original campaign promise to support the younger party members which has been broken.
