Honestly as an indie game dev myself, the talk of game design regarding graphics is so useful. Like we just take for granted that better resolution is better, but it really isn't like that. Leaving room for the mind to fill in the blanks with sufficient environmental building can be better than super high fidelity. No One Lives Under the Lighthouse, Psuedoregalia here, and others like that really show how effective it can be. Hell I remember Witch Hunt being terrifying and honestly its very basic textures.
