Not in actual jobs they’re still taking plenty, but they’re receiving a cut in other areas of the job, not the position itself

I would ask my recruiter to take a trip to San Antonio for myself (as they've moved from hurlburt field) and talk to real tacp's.....recruiters are clueless, as prior airforce i can tell you getting washed out of your selected job sucks.

They're closing the tacp career field. Probably won't be around by the time you join.

You are 15 years old how are you allowed to take the ASVAB. At the earliest you would be able to join is at 17 with parental consent. The ASVAB is also only good for 2 years so by the time you are eligible to join it would have expired.

@@RedOrbital Asvab is allowed in your sophomore year. I’m not taking as a real test. More as just a practice for the real thing.

You get shot at by AK's and RPG's and shoot back using a radio...while shooting back with your personal weapon...with the radio, you're calling in death from above using whatever available resources are on hand, be it from a ship, artillery/mortars, helicopters or jets and coordinating all of that while keeping everyone around you alive and everyone above you from crashing into or shooting each other. You are a puppetmaster with bombs and big bullets at your string-tips.

I don't think they'll release one for the Special Recon guys. That community is VERY small, and I think they prefer the mysteriousness that they have on them.

I was always told that Air Force regardless of getting their funds cut they still find a way to manage their funds

Hudairl26, By Federal Law you must be at least age 17 with parental consent and at least a junior to have an appointment or to join the Air Force. However, they may speak to recruiters when they come to their high school. While you are still too young to enlist into the Air Force, it is never too early to start preparing. There are a few things you can do now to prepare for once you reach the required age. First study hard and graduate from high school. Get the best grades you can in all subjects especially English, Math and Science. This will help you improve your score on the ASVAB test which is required for enlistment. Say no to drugs and get an early start on physical conditioning are important steps in the right direction. And stay out of trouble. Law violations can delay and in some cases will disqualify you from joining the Air Force and taking advantage of the opportunities available. Starting early and being prepared are your best shot.
