I'm sure by now you know how passionate I am about genealogy and preserving family history. I'm dedicated to teaching those wishing to learn the right way of investigating, analyzing and reporting genealogical findings.
But let's face it, genealogy is just plain fun. I love the hunt, the discovery and the excitement of sharing with others.
What you may not know (besides my lifelong passion for genealogy) is I’ve had a long career in television broadcasting and management. I’m also a wildlife and nature photographer.
Now is the time for me to take all these skills into a new side-kick. I’m using my talents in photography, television, video production, editing, and as a lifelong genealogist, combining those skills together to create the Genealogy TV and NC Ancestry as KZfaq channels along with similar websites and blogs.
I promise… I’m dedicated to this effort.
I really appreciate your support. / genealogytv

Any idea why headcounts would not be included for a census entry? In the 1820 Cabell County, Virginia Census, there are quite a few entries that list head of household, but the headcounts are completely blank. Even the age for the head of household is blank. In one particular instance, I know the man is married and should have several children, so the lack of information is puzzling. There are several entries that appear this way on every page I've looked at.

Great question. Tying the family members together, using the children or neighbors can help you know you have the right record.

Yes the census was taken every 10 years. And because of the 75 your privacy act, we cannot see anything after 1940. 1950 census will be available in 2022. That is the most recent census records we can see. Try looking for other records like school yearbooks for more recent years.

Was there a “1915” US Census? My lawyer in Italy is asking for this particular year.
@GenealogyTV
@GenealogyTV 3 жыл бұрын
No. Only every 10 years. So 1900, 1910, 1920 etc. sometime there are state censuses on the 5’s but they differ by state and are few and far between.

@@GenealogyTV Thank you. This is what I thought. Would you happen to know if Pennsylvania did a 1915 Census? I am trying to prove that my Grandmother is who I am saying she is. It’s complicated and her records have many mistakes; ie; wrong dates, her name misspelled, etc. This is for Italian Citizenship.
