U.S. Embassy Consular Update: Consul General Mark McGovern shares good news about the U.S. Embassy's visa operations and shortened interview wait times.
For Filipino business or tourist travelers, the next available visa appointment for you is within the next few months. Our immigrant visa processing is now almost back to normal levels.

What happened to spouse visa? Seems like your prioritize other visa category over them. Specially healthcare workers with dependents.

Thank you so much for your service po❤ I am one in the wait list po...I miss my Husband specially He need My care because He is 71 yrs old and suffering in many sickness diabetic,nueropathy pain, heart ,kidney problem, I pray that May God always help Us po...God bless Us all po...❤❤❤

That's good to hear consul! The hardest part is beating time. I think that's the only thing we couldn't beat up but just be patient about it and pray harder that our status stay current and pass that interview that we have been waiting for. 😊

@@TheWayOfAlex Yea they are still interviewing IR1 and IR2 cases 3 days a week that were documentarily complete at NVC since 2022, while at the same time interviewing B2 cases that just first filled out their DS160 in February or March 2023.

Hi Evangelyn - your Father may apply for a Returning Resident visa as long as he can establish that he was a green card holder when he left the US; no intention to abandon his residency and that he has continuing permanent ties in the U.S.

The official reply of the US Embassy is on their website. Even the Consul General admits that while processing is almost back to normal, they cannot specify how long each visa case will be. The Embassy website has this official advisory: "Immigrant Visa (IV): We are processing immigrant visas across all categories. However, with significant backlogs in most categories, wait times for interviews are lengthy for all but immediate relatives. It is not possible to provide precise wait times as facilities, staffing resources, and local conditions all affect capacity and scheduling."

My husband and I really hoping that processing time become current, because timeline for Visa interview really hurts us emotionally and Financially. We're in the battle of Separation Anxiety is really hard. Patiently waiting for my interview IR1 Visa.

If your interview process sucks you should fix it. I’m US Army retired and live in the Philippines with my wife for over a year you did even ask her much and denied her visa we never plan to stay in the US just to visit my mom who is up in age all most 90 now. You just assume someone wants go stay in the US. We don’t want to stay in the US it’s better here. So you should really let a person tell you things instead of just catching up on your backlog just to say your doing something but really just nothing.
