Not exactly what you hoped for when you voted.....as it was never part of the campaigning....nor was it ever possible based on existing internationally signed documents (in this case the Istanbul agreement...and later Minsk agreement).

it really is, we started a "war on terror" against many nations that didn't have insurgents before they were invaded. Iraq had zero wmds or terrorists but they conveniently were said to have these once they didn't want to use the dollar for oil anymore.

NATO attacked Libya before so how come its a defensive alliance ? .NATO should first mitigate its strike systems in countries close to Russia then it has to either promise not to accept Ukraine in its alliance since it has disputed territory with Russia or accept the Russian occupation of Crimea while maintaining Ukraine's right to be part of NATO.

What I do see, and this is confirmed by OSCE observers, is the Western-supported Ukrainian government shelling and killing its own citizens as a result of a civil war created by, surprise, surprise, a Western sponsored murderous, anti constitutional coup, in the old CIA tradition. Only in this case, they’ve upset a very big and powerful neighbor, so it’s not going to go the way it usually goes in Latin America and the Middle East. The US bit off more than it can chew.

Why does this lie get repeated so often? Gorbachev gave an interview where he stated that the expansion of NATO was never discussed. The discussion was about German reunification and how that would proceed. Nothing was discussed beyond that.
