I applied In October 2016 and got certified by the police. Fingerprints happened in August 2017, and then silence. Never hears anything about it again. I voluntarily left the USA, so now I am on a ten years bar and I can't reenter the country and I am not sure if I will ever get an U visa and even if I do, because I am overseas I don't know if they will allow me to reenter

I have the same situation! They received my application on May 2017, but I left USA in April 2016 and have a 10yr bar. Which means it’s been on May 2023 it’s going to be 6years since they received my application and on April 2023 it’s going to be 7 years since I left the country! How long do think I have to wait? If apply for visa do you think I am going to be denied a visa? THANK YOU !!!!

Le aplaudo que pregunte y no se quede con la duda porque el que pregunta aprende y llega lejos y el que calla se queda ignorante y por ignorancia a veces no sabemos quien califica para una visa por ser víctima de algún crimen. I can't find any information about the I-765 being free when you file for the first time as a U-visa applicant. All I can find is that you can request the fee to be waived if you prove you can't afford it.. Can you give us some more information on that here? Thank you!

What can we do if the police department refuses to fill out form I-918 supplement b. They stated it passed more than 7 years, what can we do regarding the certification. The crime happened back in 2013.

Yo, solicite U visa y I-765 permiso de trabajo, ambos el diciembre 5, 2022. ya pase 2 huellas dactilares de I-765 y el sistema de tiempo de USCIS indica no contactar hasta el 3 de noviembre de 2023. Eso que significa que habra una preaproval en esa fecha o que me llegara el permiso de trabajo en esa fecha?

Please mam tell us some way so we can petition uscis to give the u visa petitioners the bona fide determination fast processing. This wait time is completely illogical.
