Gotta do “all I want is you/where the streets have no name” live from slane castle. Bono’s dad died days before the show. U hear the pain in his voice in the transition between the 2 songs.

3 out of the 4 U2 members are born again Christians. They found god around the same time they got into the band. They nearly split up over it because they didn’t feel their beliefs could coincide with being in a rock band. It’s the thing I most respect about u2, they did it their way. They became the biggest band in the world doing it their way. Total left field to your standard rock and roll lifestyle. There’s a common theme in U2’s music over the years and it’s been religion. One of their best songs called until the end of the world is a lyrical masterpiece. It’s written from Judas’s perspective in betraying Jesus. Great review . Stay on the u2 train.
