First time I heard this intro to this song the hairs on my neck stood up on the back of my neck. I was learning guitar at the time but never learned the song. Back then I couldn't figure it out with all the delays pinging.

The Edge uses Herdim Standard guitar picks...the stippling (good for grip), when turned and used to strike the strings, makes a raspy-chime sound...very similar to what Brian May (Queen) gets by using the serrated edge of a sixpence coin.
@PaulJonesy5 жыл бұрын
Interesting - I use herco flex 75 plectrums with the stipple grip and do exactly the same thing. The stipple grip is great for soloing.

This is wrong, Edge used 1 Vox amp, a Korg SDD3000 and a Les Paul recording Pride. And 1 delay setting.

not eric clapton, but eric claptout
@ramonarellano49886 жыл бұрын
That sounds close, but i think the effects are too much, if you listen closer to the Edge, it is a lot clearer, not that much effects.

The delay is way to loud, over powers the guitar. Can't hear the guitar, just the delay. The guitar should be equal if not greater than the delay. Other then that 👍

Ugh, I can't not stand this guy talking, keeps making sucking sounds. According to Universal Audio, this song was recorded with only a Korg SDD-3000, which they have a plugin for if anyone wants the true delay sound. The chain was apparently only the guitar, Korg, and a Vox amp.

luis Diaz if all you got from that was that it’s two chords (it isn’t) perhaps you weren’t paying attention.
