This song got me through treatment for cancer. I'd listen to the CD while the chemo dripped into my veins, but Walk On kept me going. I skipped a treatment to see them in Nov 2001 for the 6th time. Anyone who saw that tour after September, well, you had to be there.

Joaquin Wells, exactly how I feel too. We all go through tough times in life. We gotta walk, though for me it’s run on, walking is too slow for me. Love this song. Came out around the time my dad passed (actually Bono's dad passed not long before mine) and I can't hear it without thinking of him and that time. I first listened to this song when I bought the U2 album All that You Cant Leave Behind back in 2002 while traveling through New Zealand and Australia. I watched Roswell for the first time 4 years ago when I was already 30 years old. This song came on during the finale of season 2 and I cried like a child. It brought me right back to 2001 and 2002 and I remembered everything so vividly... Those were simpler times, I was a teen excited about life, dreaming about falling in love, about going to college, watching Friends, Charmed, Buffy and Dawson's Creek. Listening to the Offspring, Sum 41 and Avril Lavigne. My parents were big U2 fans so their songs were always playing in the car. It makes me chuckle because of how corny everything was. But I sure wish I could experience it all again. Life didn't turn out to be the way I dreamt it back then, it's actually been very painful so it's a constant comfort having these songs to go back to. They make the pain a little easier to bear.

O Lançamento desta música foi no ano 2000, no atentado de 11 de setembro de 2001, nos EUA ela foi muito tocada nas rádios . A Banda U2 sempre coloca esta canção em homenagem para alguma causa social, esta música é uma mensagem de força e fé . Na turnê 360 Graus, aqui no Brasil, ele homenageou aquelas crianças mortas no RJ, naquele atentado infeliz numa escola, foi emocionante , enquanto tocava esta música os nomes das crianças apareciam no telão, e jovens entravam no palco com velas.

When i was a teenager, i liked u2 a lot. Then i bacame older, and i turned into a man who doesn't like anything. When i heard u2 i felt no emotions, and i thought, that i used to like it bcz i was just a kid. Now after years of struggling in my life (crime, prison, anger, addictions, wrong lifestyle in all possible ways), thinking life makes no sense, i all of a sudden woke up one day, and started to fight back. Suddenly i realised, that all those "stupid" things that people around me do, like wakin up early, going to work, goin to bed early, not bein addicted to every shit possible, to behave decently.. are things, take make a human soul happy. And then, out of nowhere, came the thought, that i should play myself a u2 song. I can tell you, listening to it now feels like a new day has come, after a 20 years long night... a real blessing. Thank you god, for giving us this band.

I can't agree more to call them a band, is an understatement, U2 has been book marks to almost all chapters of my life from peer pressure, family disfunctions, seasons, trials with education, milestones such as graduations, tests, and the daily growth spurts, aging, dreams, relationships, worldwide news and historical patterns etc, U2 was the elixir to my recipe for life.

+Katherine Reyna I love U2 so much and has been part of so many important and difficult moments of my life that sometimes I can't listen to the songs because the memories are to hard to think about. It's almost cathartic so I save for moments when I'm ready to deal with the emotions. I'll be forever grateful. Some things we can't even explain and I'm happy today to read your words. U2 is my oldest love in music. Bono's voice, Edge's great sound and guitar playing and the solid and original spine of the band with Larry and Adam who are always forgotten... Two weeks ago, here in Israel we experienced our 9/11, over 1400 lives were lost during that terrible day of October 7th. Ever since this attack happened I can't stop listening to this song, it gives me strength. I wish we will all walk on. May god bring peace to this country and to all over the world 🇮🇱 🇮🇱

Pra quem não sabe esta música e clip foi feito em homenagem a Aung San Suu Kyi , a mulher que aparece na camiseta do Bono Vox e no final do vídeo.Uma política guerreira da Birmânia que era favorita para ganhar as eleições , mas foi presa antes das eleições e ficou trancada em prisão domiciliar de 1989 até 2010, 21 anos, foi impedida de ser eleita por causa da oposição, e ela lutava pela democracia. Ganhou um prêmio Nobel da paz e outros prêmios de honra, tem 70 anos(2016) e continua na vida política. Mulher de fibra !!
