I said my last goodbye to my mother yesterday. I've always loved this song and felt for Bono. Now this song has really hit me hard and I understand what Bono was going through at the time of him writing this magestic and haunting lyric. I will try to listen to this song daily. Thank you Bono for helping me deal with my grief. Many more tears will be shed.

If there is a more underappreciated album in rock history, and song in specific, I'm not familiar with it. The music is brilliant and the lyrics, while probably not as tight as they would have been if the original ones hadn't been stolen, are a mastery of improv - making the emotion that more raw and real.
