One of the biggest changes I saw in those notes was the 2 AP cost per tier for Stormsinger metamagic cost reduction. That's actually huge! They just gave Archmage a discount to 1 AP per tier, then they go and do this to Stormsinger. It seems like a backwards move, as I was hoping that AM would be the trendsetter for several enhancement trees to see the AP cost changed to 1 AP per tier. I feel that was one of the biggest benefits to play Stormsinger, the cost reduction to metamagics. smh

They are constantly trying to "rebalance", the problem with this methodology is that when you are falling swinging your arms around violently just gets you in more trouble. They instead need to back up and look at what does work for the players/all kinds, {what isn't getting lots of complaints} and strike that off their repair lists, they keep nefing builds while fixing things that are working while ignoring real problems, {like lack of real customer service response time, {automated letters promising that somebody is looking at the problem someday, is not customer service}. That is not how you keep players.

Fix Assassin Tree to have a form of Distract(familial pet Displacer Beast/aggro training dummy) and Crowd Control(multi bear traps/throwing net) thats viable and can scale off stats and Assassinate/Disable Device to also improve Mechanic Tree as well.

I'm ok with the weapon rebalance, especially the percent damage change. It was something I was thinking about for a while. Not sure I like the amber temple change, but I'll see how it goes when I run it next. Besides that I like some of the cost reductions in the enhancements. Some were long overdue. Pretty mixed tbh. I agree some things could have been better spent on other things.

Arcane Archer Force Arrows don't seem to work at all when activated which is pretty annoying when it's your primary imbue that also got nerfed 25% from spell power contribution. I placed a bug report ticket in game but haven't gotten any response yet so I'm stuck using alternate imbues which means plenty of immunities. By blind luck was already moving my gear towards delivering weapon damage as a primary goal, hopefully I can still solo Defiler of the Just on Hard mode post update. 😁

So idk about everyone else but i come to videos like this so i can listen to the changes oulined in the release notes on my commute to and from work. Saying you won't get into it is cutting out the majority of the reason i watched this vid. If i could make a request for future vids going over notes, can you get into it?
@AxelAlexK10 ай бұрын
I've always assumed me reading every single minor release note would be boring for most people and not worth doing, so in videos like this I try to keep them to hitting the highlights. I've gotten comments that people like the videos to be trimmed of any bloat and to the point. If I went over every single minor release note it would increase the length of the video by a lot and people tend to stop watching KZfaq videos when they go longer than 10-15ish minutes. It would also mean a lot more time on my end researching, recording and editing so it's also a time thing for me to not get into every single little change. So that's why I don't. Maybe I should ask people in a poll and get more opinions on what they want to see. I'd be open to changing the format a bit if that's what most people want, but right now I don't think it is. I could be wrong.

@AxelAlexK thank you for your feedback. That does make sense from a creator standpoint. If you made a pole, you know what my vote be! Anyways, thank you for the content

The AA force missile damage is nerfed, not only does it no longer hit ethereal properly it's less than a tenth of what it was, {on top of having to reset the entire tree to reclaim the AP's}. I went into Mabar/Delera's before doing this and got tore the ef. up {at level} couldn't hit a wraith/etc. steady had to go to the elementals and etherial longbow which fortunatly are still working.
@brianstevens385810 ай бұрын
On top of which I shouldn't have to wear a whole bunch of wizard stuff to build the spell strength to keep missile fire damage high enough to be ingame viable.
@brianstevens385810 ай бұрын
Ok a tenth is a slight execration but not by much {Tried 3 other toons and one has a high impulse spell power and it helped {bot enough to fix the lack of ghost touching } but it's nowhere near what it should be,, the elemental damage is roughly the same overall on missiles, maybe even a little better but the force is nerfed to hell.
@Chris-ew9mh10 ай бұрын
Odd, I couldn't even get the Force Imbue to display an icon when switching to it and it was giving me zero damage per arrow shot. With 550-600 force spell power and 14 to 20 imbue dice depending on gear setup it was definitely a strong dps boost, but I found you can switch around gear to maximize your main damage with +damage and +crit items and abilities to get similar if not better results depending on what you are fighting. I placed a bug report in game but I got nothing back yet as far as a fix.
@brianstevens385810 ай бұрын
@@Chris-ew9mh I was using force a lot because it was the best weapon against ethereal. Now I just shifted to the elementals and use the apropo bow type to get the ghost touch. Been in Mabar all day and hitting fine. {just not with force missiles} lol

I doubt this is something that would be done in place of a shadowfell revamp or something similar, It's not so resource intensive that they can't be working on both and this just happened to get released sooner
@AxelAlexK10 ай бұрын
I just meant Shadowfell and MoTU loot revamp, not a revamp of all the content. But yeah I hope it wasn't that resource intensive.

I wish lvl 29 and 28 raid weapons could have styed the same, the nerf feels like a way to push new content. Also there are a lot of old weapons that got nerfed too, this change should have been for future items and old ones that would get a buff, only.
@Chris-ew9mh10 ай бұрын
It definitely hit older L26 Greensteel weapons pretty hard as they used to have elevated weapon dice relative to their level as one of their selling points. That said the Thunderforged weapons seemed to have been given a boost of an extra weapon die which almost makes up for the fact they can't have a sentient jewel. The L31 and L32 weapons now seem to be superior to previous L28/L29 raid weapons so I'll do some shuffling once I know the changes are for good.

They are falling into the trap of artificially balancing stuff when it's not needed. Balance changes should ONLY be done for big problems. It's a PVE game, it's fine if it's not perfectly balanced. I agree this scaling thing was unnecessary, and I think it's also ugly. The less percentages in a DnD game, the better.

Based on what you said here I'm hoping that they were saving up most of their effort for other things that are going to be released in a later update, and I'm betting that's the case. None of this looks to be big enough to be worthy of a significant update. It's just kind of a patch
