The UA Project Rock BSR 3 is the third shoe to debut in the popular Project Rock BSR training shoe line.
This model features a few subtle upgrades to its predecessor the UA Project Rock BSR 2. As a fan of the more generalist construction of the BSR shoe line, I was stoked put the BSR 3 to the test.
In my UA Project Rock BSR 3 review, I'm going to cover a variety of topics to help you decide if this shoe is worth it for you.

Overall, the UA Project Rock BSR 3 performed pretty well on all of my tests. This is a generalist training shoe that will work for recreational contexts.
If you're needing a shoe for a little bit of everything that has a decent price point, then the Project Rock BSR 3 could be worth looking into.
That being said, this shoe is just okay and it doesn't really "wow" me in any one performance category. Plus, you can find stronger shoes for comparable prices if you're not sold on the Project Rock line.

we can't demand more from this shoe, UA and PR have put a lot of thought into making and designing the BSR 3 shoe, they didn't want to spoil the PR 5 and Reign 5 in terms of price and materials, so they made a simple and stylish train/gym shoe without leaving his abilities. so give them respect for the future can make shoes better💌❤😍💪

Hey there Jake! Glad to find your channel, great content here. I'm undecided between these BSR 3 and the Nanoflex V2, I can get them for the same price. If you wanted a decent stable shoe for daily gym sessions (strength training like lunges, press, etc), which one do you think it's best? Do you have another recommendation? I don't have wide feet or want to use them for running. Cheers! And keep up with the nice reviews 😎

BSR 2 can be modified and fit wider feet without issues, I have wide feet sizing somewhere in 2E/3E and they fit reasonably well. The upper is stretchy and it has big wide tongue. Wide feet go for BSR 2 while its still available.

Hey Jake, just discovered your channel a few hours ago. Nice content man! appreciate all the honest feedback. qq: in your opinion, what's the best training shoe for medium to heavy lifts and casual cardio sessions (I only walk on an inclined treadmill). I was using the Adidas Ultraboost as they are so comfy which is why I like them, but as a running shoe they lack stability for serious lifts. Thanks and greetings from Mexico!

I'd say go TriBase Reign 5 or Reebok Nano X3! They're both solid for those contexts. Thank you for checking out the channel!

Thanks Man for the review. You’ve cleared all my doubts about these. Just wanted one last suggestion from you i.e. which model’s should i opt for from brands like puma,nike or under armour. I’ve just started training. Wanted to go for Reebok’s Nano X2 but those are out of stock and X3 isn’t available yet. I’ve wide toe. Budget is not a problem for me.

IMO, I'd wait for the Nano X3 or explore something like the UA Tribase Reign 5! Those are really solid and well-rounded shoes.

Weirdly enough, despite owning many Project Rock shoes, the BSR2 has felt the most solid to me (especially the heel). How similar to that one does this feel (ambiguous, I know), given it's an iterative upgrade? The bootie construction has me a bit wary, given they can fit pretty variable depending on the model.

The bootie is going to be hit or miss, IMO. I'd stock on 2s and pass on the 3s as the bootie construction can be annoying at times when breaking these in and if you have wider feet, then I think they'll be even a bigger pain as mentioned in the review!

Today i bought the bsr 3 white red UFC edition , as an allround gym shoe because lifting weights on my niks zoom pegasus was not really great for the shoe. Tbh im fan of UFC and i really love the white reds do i dont really care they are not specialist shoes they look just awesome !

The BSR, for me gets better every year. This version broke-in really well. I like how it fits on my foot once it broke-in. Curious on your thoughts about general use budget model shoes as it's own sub-category. I know in the past you have done a best budget model content. Almost every brand has a takedown/budget model. Do you think about with shoes that would compete with bsr, being compared to the same consideration or testing as a nano, Reign or Rad? To me there seems to be a hard comparison. I appreciate you adding in context to your reviews about who the shoe is best for. Definitely good information.

Yeah, I always consider that! For example, when I rank shoes on my site, I take a stance that first considers comparable models regarding price point and use cases. For ex, this shoe I compare to models like the Nanoflex V2, MC Trainer 2, and PUMA FUSE 2. Great point and thought there, friend!

Hey! Great video. Do you think these are good for HIIT trading like the insanity workout with Shaun T? I run long distance (6+ miles) 4 times a week and my running shoes don’t really work for Insanity. Are these a good pick?

As good, ehhhhh, they'll be comparable just might not be as dialed as the PR 4 for your needs.
