5:48 Goosebumps! RIP Brian & Astro

These lads came together on the streets of my home Birmingham and created one of the best if not the best reggae bands the worlds seen. Fucking Unreal. Being 27 my childhood was filled with ub40, bouncing around my living room with the big speakers on. The songs they wrote themselves some of best songs in my playlist and the meaning of them songs echoes on in todays world. UB40 league of their own.

I had the privilege of working at Coventry theatre on security for a number of years in the 70's and 80's. UB40 played frequently and were simply outstanding. Never seen another band who sound exactly the same live as they do on record/cd etc.

Got so stoned to this Album in Dublin in 1980 so many times. Saw them live at a festival around the same time! Such wonderful musicianship. When I hear the first track these days I feel so high without taking a thing. Magical music magical memories. RIP Brian and Astro! Love everything you made up to RedRed Wine! I’ve been round the sun 65 times and so happy to have UB40 with me for 42 of those years and more to come ..,,

Had a great chat with Brian way back early 80'ds genuine nice guy, so sad to see he has passed away.

Pure Quality,UB40 !!! Saw them in 1999 and 2019!, they still the same , very talented Musicians!, so sad Bryan and Astro Died!! Best European Reggae Band!

When I watch concerts like this, I feel so sad about the way things have turned out for UB40.

When you mention UB40 most say 'oh red red wine' they know nothing of their music before then. I love the labour of love albums but i listen to old stuff more. Still love it

I listened to red red wine on the radio and had the studio cassette I loved it, wore it out in high school. Since I loved that when they came to G'ville, Florida USA I had to go. OMG, in concert the horns and energy of UB40 was so much better than on the stereo. Such a great experience.

This was around the first time I saw them. I would've been 17 and we snuck into a packed bar in Canada. They would tour regularly back then and I'm sure that I saw them at least 6 times before they stopped coming over.

Just love listening to these older concerts . I love all the instrumental bits of their music and brings back so many memories too

Saw them last night in Melbourne! Fantastic...nearly as good as MLG in Toronto in 1983!!

I reflect back and think how incredible it was to experience these musicians in the mid 80's....phenomenal !!! In NYC, to see them at concerts on the Pier, at a hall in Fordham University...to see the Talking Heads on thier Stop making Sense tour at Forest Hills tennis stadium.....I was truly privileged ❤️❤️. RIP Brian and Astro, you influenced my life in so many positive ways...

Great vid, takes me back to the first time I saw the UB’s live at The Magnum in Irvine. Back when they played the brass section themselves. As close as it gets to the true versions of the songs as they were laid down on the early albums. Love is all is alright is my favourite. Brilliant.

This was right before Red Red Wine became a hit along with Labour of Love. I got tix front row centre for Massey Hall in Toronto at the age of 16. What a night. I was amazed how they sounded exactly like their albums

RIP Brian and Astro. I saw UB40 on September 7,1988 at the Greek Theater in L.A. with the Dan Reed Network , the Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa in June or July of 1990 with the Smithereens, and at the Reggae Sunsplash on September 2, 2006 with Toots and the Maytals and others. This was back when they were still the full band. Was anybody else at these shows? I was not the only person there. I would love to hear from you. GODDAMN! Now sucks compared to the great of back when. Peace.

Give me this epic raw steppas sound and dub booooom of UB40 this is what we felt back then and intrument wise rare to capture it like that UK MULTI -CULTURE SOUND DAT! i spent 4hrs+ sitting with the band talking just me and friend Manchester Airport hotel bar way back mid 80s they just flew in from EU never got to see them perform live i was away in Merchant Navy so my destiny with them that night we had a blast :) Bless ASTRO * R I P * I had original Signing Off Album to like many of you Bless
