Thanks a lot for your video, very useful. Can't find information about compatibility MacBook air 1466 between 2013-2017. I have MacBook Air 13 2014. Can I change in my Macbook motherboard to the MacBook Air 1466 2015 or 2017? I've read a comment below, that 2015 would be ok, what about 2017?

If I recall correctly, it will work. Just make sure you check the description and pictures before buying.

The presenter forgot to put back the rubber fan bumper. It is meant to wrap around the heat sink to align the fan duct to the heatsink air intake vertical slots.

Hi, Very informative video. I have this laptop. Mine was working fine and then just turned off. It had been charging with no problems and holding a charge. I am not sure why it stopped working. I was wondering if you might know what would cause it to stop working.

Hi I have a 2014 Macbook air A1466 13" i7 8gb mem. It will not turn on & I have tried all the tricks that I see on KZfaq but still not working. So I would like to change the motherboard and I would like to know if I can use a 2015 or 2016?? also will I lose my info on the hard drive if I do so?? Thank you for any info you can give me.

Omg I’m currently dealing with the exact same issue except I have everything saved already. My computer is also 2014. I wish you good luck and hopefully we will have a response on how to fix it.

Just in case I did win a bid on another macbookAir 2014 on ebay for $125 no power cord and no OS loaded. So now I will have two Mac's. I did buy a 2015 motherboard this week.

@@napoleonbarros8272 yaay congrats, I on the other hand got myself a refurbished one on amazon, and took my 2014 to a repair and see how much it will cost, and the associate told me it’s between $500-$600, so I don’t know if I should repair it or get a used motherboard on ebay. Is yours new, cause the only ones I found are used motherboards.
