Buy a screen FULLY assembled. I broke my home button and cam costing me more time and money. But I got her working.

get her a wrist loop for her iphone case for her birthday and tell her next time she drops it without the wrist loop on her wrist, she'll owe you $500.

When removing home button, might be better to try lifting from the loop that extend around the plastic alignment bump to start getting underneath the backing to get leverage since there should be no adhesive there. I initially tried getting under it from where the cable folds up and over as shown in video and I think I ended up damaging the circuitry in the ribbon cable. =( Otherwise, the video is very detailed and helped immensely! Thank you!

Thanks for the video, but you forgot to put the last two external screws back on. Also this replacement screen apparently doesn't come with a new seal so the phone is no longer water resistant.
