Well of course they will link it together, when asked if we will see Atriox and the Banished in another Halo Game (meaning 6) 343 answered with a "maybe" which means pretty much yes we will. It wouldn't surprise me if we will have 2 Stories much like Halo2 and 5, one with the Spirit of Fire (maybe we will play Douglas(i soo hope so because he and Isabel are awesome xD)) and the other follows MC and the others and at some point they join forces.

Halo 2's ending was a lot more epic with the music and other things (and it felt like you had a full campaign beforehand). It wasn't a prepared ending either, since Halo 2's development was very rocky.

At least Halo 2's wasn't intentional and was a compromise, otherwise the game would've been cancelled due to budgeting and time constraints. A good game should leave you satisfied at the end, not like this. This ending just raises far more questions than it answers, which is annoying.

And i swear to god 343, have a unsc air craft vehicle at release, not later in mutiplayer available only in req packs. And since we know prometheans are gonna be back. Plz 343 add thier own set of vehicles than just phaeton and great ships, the forerunners mustve had some ground vehicles then just aircraft dont they 343? And seriously microsoft remove req packs, no more reqs, its one of the things i absolute hate about halo 5. Bring back the times where we earn armour sets through challenges basiclly giving us a proper goal rather than going through reqs for an armour piece we want or idk bring back armour customization from reach, imo halo 5 customization was lacking compared to reach where had so many options, we were able to mix and match diffrent armour pieces from shoulder pads, chassis, helmets, knee pads etc. Halo 5 its just helmet and body armour and thats it and if u could visor colour. I have hope for halo 6 but i hope reqs are taken out and we get the system we love in halo 3 or the credit system in halo reach where we can mix n match pieces

Ibrahim Malik Your talking my style man. The customizable way they had it on Halo Reach was my favorite one, especially when the armor was more real like touch to the look. The credit system and challenges to earn a good chunk of creds was nice. As far as the vehicles, if this is the last one in the story, why not bring back all of them from the UNSC, Covenant with Banished variants and more Forerunner and as you mentioned some ground versions and hell, bring back Forge World in all it's glory. For weapons, bring back the best version of each like the Halo 3 Bruteshot, the Halo 4 Binary Rifle and like the Halo 1,2 and 3 Plasma Rifle as a few examples.

Lets just hope 343 give us all this stuff and hopefully redeem halo. I have faith considering wat ive seen from halo wars 2.

TheDaedalus07 but the story accomplishes what it set out to do... you don't tell Shakespeare that you don't like his tragedies because they are to sad... halo wars 2 set out to reintroduce the SoF to the current time line, it did that, to introduce a new faction, it did and well enough without destroying them in the first outing. And it connected with halo 5. You the player were fighting to save the SoF from the new threat you beat them back and sent Anders out to contact the UNSC... it setup nicely for future games which is what everyone should expect from a giant space opera and epic sci-fi story that halo is known for. I agree I wanted more but we got plenty of value here for a game that might never have been made, we should celebrate that and tone done the criticisms to a more realistic level... mainly because we contradict ourselves... halo 2 is fine for cliffhangers. Then we want contained story lines, but then the story feels rushed so we don't like halo 4 because it was to condensed... and now we don't like cliffhangers. We are satisfied with halo 2s ending now because we have that closure... when we get that for halo 5 and HW2 we will come around again... that is the point of a cliffhanger to have you begging for more.

After the Banished are discovered, however, they instead focus on trying to destroy them; the Halo wasn't an escape, it was meant to be sent with a message, and be a way to get more UNSC to arrive at the Ark to help defeat the Banished.

I doubt it. Most people don't even know who Jerome or Isabel is, because Halo Wars isn't very mainstream. They'd be more confused that a franchise known for a blue AI and faceless protagonist now has an orange AI and a protagonist that can take off his mask.

Halo Wars 2's story is definitely told more through gameplay than story, but that's fine. Never use a cutscene if you can't justify it. Cutscenes should ALWAYS develop characters/plot or convey objectives. If a cutscene doesn't do either of those things, it's a waste. (Halo 5 is an example of that. Too many cutscenes just showing the characters arriving at a location.) Halo Wars 2 makes up for this discrepancy with a lot of dialogue during loading screens, and in gameplay, and with tons of game-rendered vignettes with dedicated animations.

+Scorch The first Halo Wars definitely did NOT have an hour's worth of cinematics in it. You must be basing that off of that one KZfaq video that added a ton of gameplay scenes plus a trailer and the game's credits.
