EA bought ubisoft’s r6 department💀

Basically, we went from: - 2 Operators per season - 4 Universal Weapon skins that cost 25k Renown each (Note that 90% of the universal weapon skins from the old seasons looked WAY better than the ones we have now) - A Season Pass for €40 for the entire year, which included uniforms, headgear, credits, and a universal exclusive weapon skin (like Obsidian, Damascus Steel, Volcano, etc.) - Birthday events for operators featuring free charms or weapon skins - Random weekly challenges that rewarded charms or skins - Good and unique event skins (I could continue this list forever) To: - 1 operator per season (except this one :)))) - 1 universal, unattractive weapon skin with random patterns and colors, selling for 80k Renown - A membership for €80 a year, offering less content than the previous Year Pass and Season Pass, but at a higher price - No more birthday events (The game's birthday is December 1, 2015, and it's the only game I know that doesn't celebrate its birthday with any event) - No more operator birthday events - More and More cheaters - No more good and unique event skins Less and less content. I'm also 21yo, I play this game since I'm 13 and seing ubisoft killing this game makes me really sad.

So the game finally makes a great comeback and ubi tries to instantly kill the hype in 1 season 🤣

Games on its death bed. The engine can’t keep up, and they know the game can’t be supported for much longer, so they’re doing everything and anything to get as much money as possible from a ship that’s about to sink.

I played siege day 1 up until grim sky then didn't play for 6 years, of course as soon as i try to hop back in its the worst season in r6 history 🤡

For the memento they should just have count the older skins as if you own a recolor and the pack have the option to not drop the recolor. Also you can get a purple kapkan as a twitch drop.

I wish a multi-billion dollar person or corporation would acquire ubisoft/R6 and bring it back to life. they have the best overall game on the FPS market in their hands and they don’t even care.

We need to start a petition for Ubisoft to get more people on a team that way the game can improve and not go down hill then if they did that they would make more money

I've started to notice that recently ubi have started making less actual cosmetics which I think is crazy considering how popular and profitable siege has been the last few seasons

The whole momento system is straight from Apex during their takeover events and it's just as hated over there. At least over there tho they have the excuse of it being a Free to Play game

I am convinced this game is upkept by AI at this point. Siege used to have so much life in it but now its mainly recycled content... these events used to be fresh and exciting but I cant recall a good new event made in forever...

Completely agree I bought this game on launch day with my brother and we bonded over this game for years and years until like year 6 he kinda stopped playing but I still play nearly 10 years later and it’s changed so much and I hope they are just holding out content for a big year for 10 party but the over monetizing is ruining my love

I personally didn’t like the original color scheme of Ying and Lion’s Mute Protocol skins but I LOVE the new ones! Especially since the Lion set goes so well with Black Ice

I truly wonder and I personally think this is possibly a tactic or strategy for the marketplace. almost everything besides a few ash skins, glacier and some rare esports stuff everything else even black ice sells for close to nothing only going for 120 r6 credits the minimum most of the time. notice how the red oryx didnt come back at all they did not try to over fill the packs with both versions. I wonder if this recolor thing is more of a tactic to make the market place more competitive so skins have actual value and become more sought after and things actually rise in price to make the market place actually have flux in competition instead of everything besides a few old things selling for close to nothing. I do think there was other ways to do it to but I do think that could be part of the mindset of why we are getting a recolor.

ubisoft has BEEN lazy man. went from 2 ops to 1 per season, stopped making new maps, lazy buffs/nerfs to characters and the new season just finally killed it for me. a friend of mine said they’re releasing 2 new ops, not removing one of the fun parts of siege (5 stack recruit) and replacing it with 2 mid reskins that are okay at best. now the recolors on top of everything is honestly the straw that breaks the camels back because this is outrageous, i used to love this game but it’s just boring now.

The fact they really left some red still on orxy jus shows you how lazy they are

I've been trying to get back into siege for the past like, 2 years, and I've just gone match after match against champions and getting negative KDs. I don't know what to do anymore and I think I'm just gonna uninstall the game and move on at this point.

not only lazy but the hit reg is soooo bad on console with this new update. i know it isnt just me so many hit rejections, and mag dumping someone is just so annoying. i play pc and it plays so much better, but there is so much hacking i hate how they are killing it

The hit reg jn the event is horrendous, i mag dumped a guy just for him to run around the corner with like 2/3 of his health left

The passion in this video & the message speaks volumes... I've made a lot of memories & friends in this game. I was extremely upset with the event initially but everything you've analyzed makes sense. I'm kinda sad that Ubisoft team is turning to the aggressive micro transaction trend many other dominating games in the industry suffer from. R6 is going to end up like Overwatch did under the rule of Bobby Kotik if something doesn't change soon. P.S. No one should ever feel embarrassed when it comes to being passionate about something they love! Think of all the 42 y/o beer bellied dad's screaming at the top of their lungs when their favorite football team fumbles a win.

Ngl, I hate this mode, either I spawn next to an opponent with a shotgun or in the middle of 3 opponents for some reason

Bought 6 packs with all my renown got 4 card back grounds, the drone skin and some gun. Absolutely ridiculous.

It’s almost like they gave people skins they might not have been able to get but also changed it so it was different than the original so people that had the OG were happy too.

I had saved 200k renown and I save alpha packs now so I opened like 250 to get this set which in my opinion is better than spending 90$ and all new skins.

apex player here , recolor legendary skins is somewhat common : best thing they could've done here with recolor was to at least lower the price by 20 or 30 % but ofcourse its a AAA live service its gonna be predatory

as a fan of both COD and R6 ive noticed this, both franchises have become corporate monetization slop and have predatory MATCHMAKING algorithms to keep you on the game for as long as possible... its so bad and it feels like every time we get an update on either game we go 1 STEP FORWARD, 2 STEPS BACK

I still remember when they gave you a free event pack for logging in and another for playing the event

And kudos I can’t even access the Market place at all because 8 years ago when I made my Ubisoft acc I used my moms work email & it doesn’t exists anymore so when I try to change my email and password it sends it to that email that doesn’t exist so I can’t even change my password or get access to the Market place Ubisoft support is actually horrible

Imagine if they sold it to us with the option to change the color, that would increase the customization value of the cosmetic instead of just slowly rereleasing the skin with each different color

I loved mute protocol the first time it came, drop the game for a while like didn't play at all during 2022 and 2023, when I heard mews first to call was coming back I was really happy with this is not what I remember and I really miss the old version However this new version is actually really really fun as well and I definitely like it a lot but it's glitchy as hell... Like the last one 😂

what’s embarrassing to me is when i force myself to play a game just because of nostalgia and me wanting the game to be as fun as it once was to me. sadly multiplayer games have fallen off for me, but i can still find fun with single/co-op experiences. it just sucks that a good game is hard to come by in the era we live in

When I first played this game when I was 13 me as well as all my friends literally all thought that this was going to be the the greatest game of the modern era and it kinda was for a while. I just turned 18 and started getting back into siege and it makes me sad to see them deliver platters of shit.

I've been saying this for years we used to go from having 2 new operators a new map per season then to 1 operator a new map or a map rework now we're getting no new maps this year a rework to recruit that is little to no difference a rework to an existing operator and only 2 new operators I guarantee in year 10 well get 1 operator of were lucky at this rate

Ubisoft gave siege a predetermined lifespan of 10 years, that's closing in now so it wouldn't be surprising if the majority of the dev force for siege has been redirected to other titles/the next game in the r6 timeline.

So basically a apex event where you have to spend 160 to unlock a prestige skin

Kinda gets me sad thinking about the first dlc “black ice” and all the seasons I played for it to all be over. A game will never be able to replicate what they have. Getting old sucks

Remeber when this game used to look and feel like a realistic 5v5 tactical shooter? Now its a neon bright colored arcade shooter with some of the most outlandish gadgets and map design.

To prevent this from happening in the future, I think Ubi needs to set minimum prices for the event/paid skins that are closer to their original purchase price

Recoloring old skins is crazy

i feel so sorry for the r6 die hards. i loved this game with all my heart 2016-2019. the game is completely different both map wise, style wise, and overall tonally. i liked the semi realism of operators working against each other. it got super hero sci-fi so fast, its a different game, i wish they just stopped at year 4 that was the last time i felt the maps were still themselves and the style of operators was still in balance.

Ik that recoloring skins is lazy but in the recent events we have only gotten 3 new skins and now we also got 3 skins but also 4 extra "new" ones

If people want better skins then they need to stop shoving their money into ubi's ass... If they don't make any money from those recolores, they won't do it again... Unfortunately, they will sell because of the memento skin... there are enough players in R6 that have no dignity

They aren't competing with the marketplace, they own the market place and take a large cut of every transaction

This event is fun af and I appreciate them rereleasing and tweaking old skins and adding new twists. Yea it’s a lazy season given the reworks. But I feel like they’re building up for something big moving forward

if ubisoft puts some brand new skin in the game we might get a newbug as well so being lazy might have been better

Losing recruit rushes is a big loss, gaining two “new” recruits doesn’t make up for it

Its AAA. Its not about fun or unique anymore. Its all about money and nothing else. Im stuck in for honor hoping to get any good scraps. But getting basically anything to do anymore. The road maps did get more stuff but it's still very little.

Ubisoft could destroy the tower map and destroy the robots, it would be more interesting than simple coloring
