UBOAT is a new Submarine Simulator that just dived into early access. It is a survival sandbox with crew management mechanics while its primary theme is life of German sailors. The boat is their home, but it can become their grave at any time.
In UBOAT you control the crew in order to control the boat. You look after their physical and mental health, because if the sailors are hungry, tired and their spirit is low, there’s no chance of winning even a skirmish.

Campaign missions, Ship inspections, offshore assignments, and a better torpedo camera. The game certainly is becoming a spiritual successor to silent hunter.

Indeed! The offshore tasks seem rather interesting, I wonder what happens if things go wrong and you are captured... an escape from a POW camp would certainly be riveting!

Pro tip: Try to un-assign crew from officers if not needed (sleeping etc) i think it does add to the moral drain. I wish i would auto un-assign when you send officers to sleep. Also you can use that little drop down box on your selected officer to change their role. I change my engineers to whatever role covers torps before an attack and assign them back to engine role mode when its time to commute. Two engineers can usually warm your torps in time between contact and attack.

I am always surprised when you just guess the AOB and distance to a ship and end up hitting it. Whenever I tried it I miss completely. Great series keep up the good work!

Thank you Wolfy for a very calm & patience voice story saga teller campaign/Mission etc etc. And the way you execute your attacks & situations in there, so patiently. And in short telling/saying/explaining of what you are doing on the screen & thinking. I do have this game as well, as many of the other Silent Hunter in the series, but I only played/triad it out during the EA on the steam. And always thought that it will probably only be some kind of Saga mission character Sims story campaign, but oh boy I was so wrong. As alot of more new updates & new content got it self inbuild into the game since the EA days. You made me re install the game for later & I´m looking forward to hear & see more of your campaign story & re learn all the new things since the EA days! :) Edit: Oh it´s still in EA, I thought it was done, as all the mass of new content changes made me pretty much convinced that it was now done! :) Thank you Wolfy. BR AN.

When attacking convoys I like to fire an acoustic torpedo as I’m retreating, you only need minimal firing solution to get them to fire and they will sink or disable any escort ship

You don't need the destroyer to sink just be damaged enough that it can't effectively engage you

Nice videos, but I hear around 1:45 that "we are at a depth of about 40 meters and we are bounsing around". You can`t feel how bad the waves are unless you're almost at the surface. The reason you see the depth meter fluxes up and down, is because the waves can be +- 30 meters and more, the indicate depth will incrence / decree as much as the distance from submarine to wave peak or distance from submarine to the bottom of the wave. The submarine is stationary = linear, the waves are wave lines.

One tiny sub can cause so much damage. Imagine what happened later when they formed the Wolfpacks and started sending 4-5 Uboats to attack one convoy. Hopefully one day this game will let you take command of a Wolfpack.

hI? VERY NICE VIDS But i'm wondering how it is possible to stay in periscope depth and motor on without detection in the middle off all these ships? And... Perhaps one of these day you'll make a tutorial demonstrating usage of TDM for multiples target like in this vid? ;-)

Just a thought, slow the speed of the second or third screw you send. The first impact will always give ships time to react and slow their vessels. Leading to your last shots often missing.

I am thinking that i will do a little diary as a son from one of the U-Boat Crew men 18. December 1942 Dear diary, Today was pretty uneventfull, i slightly bruised my knee while riding my bike but it wasn't that bad, i had it fixed my mommy quickly, in the evening i saw how dad came back, i was super happy to see him back, especially one day before my birthday haha, i hope Dad will have lots of fun while he is back at home, i have to tell him about many things that happened since he was gone, and since his Birthday was also just recently i also have a small Gift for him, it is chocolate and a small Selfmade U-Boat model, i hope he likes it, either way, i will write you tomorrow again, i really hope dad will let me take a look at his u-boat, because that is my wish, i want to be a u-boat driver just like him! Hey Wolf next video if you want to do a wolfpack attack on a convoy when you spot the convoy report the position and then stalk the convoy untill friendly U-boats show up then you can attack them im not sure if it works but this is what they did in the Atlantic

Wolf. Because of the sea state, the large waves interrupting your vision, what are your thoughts on using a cheat sheet of sorts? Basically, pre planning long range shots on paper, so you have instant access at a glance. If what I'm envisioning does work, hopefully, it would be the submarine equivalent of an artillery time on target attack, ripple fire, multiple torpedoes, striking multiple targets, within not even a second of each other, if that, and at such a range, you're already gone. Does that sound possible? Thank you for continuing this series. I look forward to more.

ur torp missed because u left ur boat in reverse which cause lower accury chance . so next time best to full stop the boat then deal with torp lower chance to miss :P
